This was just a weird experience tonight. We have enjoyed eating at The Wharf in the past. It seems things have changed or maybe we just haven't experienced the oddities previously and they all showed up tonight. First, the food is good. Our wait person went above and beyond for our kids. Those are the positives. The negatives begin with our wait. We waited a long time just to order. Then our food took at least forty five minutes to come to the table. All of the dishes came out except one and the waitress said she was bringing that next. Then we watched her help a different waitress deliver all of the dishes for another table. It took another five minutes for that last meal to be delivered to the table. The side dishes for a $17 entree came in cardboard take out containers while the protein was on a real plate. Just weird. Plus cardboard containers makes food taste like cardboard. We were literally nickled and dimed on our bill. We were charged 15 cents for tomato, 15 cents for lettuce, 15 cents for pickles...all for a tenderloin sandwich. These items should normally come on a sandwich. We didn't "share" any plates but noticed on the menu they charge a fee if you decide to share a meal. We have two small teens. They were going to split a meal that cost more than two kids meals but decided not to because that fee would have made the meal ridiculously expensive. Finally, the extra charge to have fries with our burgers/sandwiches would be okay if the amount of fries was appropriate. There were more fries on the kid's meal than what we received for the $3.00 side. We have decided we probably won't return. There are just too many extra charges for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe waiter was rude and did not want to be at work then actually squirted me with a bottle of cleaning sollution. We had words then he lied about his name and his managers name when i called to talk to management the assistant manager knew exactly who i was talking about said next time i come in she would make things right. We revisited a week later the waiter was there and was staring at us. So i ask didn't feel comfortable ordering food or another drink so i started to leave and was paying for our drinks when a person identifying themself as the manager ask what the problem was. I told them the situation and they confirmed the waiter had lied about his name and then began to defend his behavior and performance unlike the assistant manager had said. It upsets me and my crew of employees we liked the food but refuse to paitronize an establishment where we aren't sure what or how we are getting served. I attempted to get ahold of the owner but was stifled by...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMary Ann bought my dinner at the Wharf last night in South Shores (hidden behind the gas station). Parking lot was almost full, indicating a large crowd inside. Menu was extensive! We chose the $9.99 pick 3! I ordered Chicken livers, mozzarella sticks, and chicken fingers. Mary Ann ordered the mushrooms instead of cheese sticks. OMG!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when our food arrived... there was so much it had to be served on serving trays with 4 kinds of sauce! I was shocked at the amount of food! AND...the quality! So yummy. I kept eating one more piece until Mary Ann offered me one of her mushrooms. No surprise here, they were also perfect. Needless to say we got take home bags. Looking forward to leftover dinner tonight. Would I recomrnend the Wharf? You betcha! Not expensive, very good, fresh, hot, quality food! Friendly, efficient and pleasant staff....
