This was our first and last visit here! As if the waitress' attitude, lack of friendliness, and lack of people skills didn't turn us away from this place enough...the vacuum sure did!

Vacuuming should be done WITHOUT customers. Who wants to eat their food with a vacuum going all over the entire dinning area and within a foot of them?

The waitress would drop off our silverware, drinks, and food without saying anything and a grouchy look the entire time. We would say thank you each time and still NOTHING. I felt like she was a robot. When she took our order she kept tapping the point of her pen on her pad as she asked my husband what two sides he wanted with his steak. I directed him to the list of sides, as she wasn't going to as she continued with her pen tapping.

My 4 year old didn't even like his chicken strips and fries and my food was tasteless as well. She brought out my husband's sides immediately, instead of with his steak. When he got his steak it was small and that was all he had on his plate...looked incomplete and ridiculous...food portions were small. My husband had to actually ask for steak sauce as she quickly tried to drop our food off and run away. She acted like it was such an inconvenience and even rolled her eyes when she brought it back. The waitress never once came back and asked if we needed anything or how the food was.

We couldn't get out of here fast enough and so happy to live in Wisconsin where we drive 35 minutes away from our home to enjoy a great meal at the the Unique in Boscobel with our family. Even if this place had good food...waitresses are the face of your business and what customers see and attribute your business to. Besides the structure, the staff are the first real impression customers get. Unfortunately we wouldn't recommend this place, unless you want a cold shoulder and...

Server was inattentive and not friendly. I tried hard to get on her good side, asked how her night was going and extra polite, but still had to ask for enough silverware for the table after receiving our food and refills on my coffee twice. She made eye contact with us when we needed something, but then returned to bussing tables and walked the opposite direction instead of seeing what we needed. When she came to drop off the check we asked if we could order some pie and she audibly sighed and said she'd see what they had left. She wasn't outright rude, but she seemed like she didn't want to be there.

The food was okay but not great. It took a while to get the food but I'm willing to wait for good food. My pollock was dripping grease and fries were cold, my daughter's hash browns were raw in places and eggs were supposed to be over medium but were cooked hard and crispy. My wife enjoyed her chicken fried chicken, and the pie was great! The rest of the food was fine.

I really wanted to like this place, as we chose the local option over the Pizza Ranch or McDonald's. I hope this review helps the business improve...

What has happened to this once amazing little restaurant?? We went in for dinner last night. They weren't busy. Only 2 tables in the dining room. We seated ourselves because there were no employees to be seen. Took about 10 minutes for anyone to appear and acknowledge us. Waitress didn't tell us the specials. Didn't bring any water to the table either. She took our drink order. Brought the drinks. We thanked her because we are polite people. She didn't crack a smile nor reply. Ok, people have bad days so whatever. The food arrived. We thanked her again. Once again, no reply. Just walked away.My meal was satisfactory, my bfs Philly cheesesteak was dry with barely any meat. The portions were so much better when the old owners an the place. The staff was also much better. The waitress did return and ask us if we wanted refills. I just don't understand why they would cut portions and quality when the old owners had built such a huge and loyal customer base. Why are they cutting corners?? It really is sad and I notice it's not nearly as busy as it used to be. There's a few...

Couldn’t be happier with my experience at Family table. This place attracts people from all walks of life. College students, college professors, blue collar, white collar; everyone comes to the family table for a no fuss experience. The service was wonderful. My coffee cup was never empty for more than a minute. It seems like many regulars come here as they were greeted by name. We were just passing through and felt like we were treated like family. The food was hot and delicious. Your typical diner fare. Prices were super affordable so my wife and I also ordered a Belgian waffle to split. You can definitively feed your entire family here without breaking the bank. Highly recommend the family table for all looking for a good meal!

Food was tasty. Perfectly prepared. Service was not. The place is well staffed but servers pass tables without a glance. They seem to care only for their assigned tables and aren't interested in others. My older female waitress was sullen. Ne ver smiled once! She failed to inform me of the 'specials' which is quite annoying. When checking out, the man at the cash register never bothered to ask the eternally question "How was everything?" For a smaller town perhaps the only friendliness is extended to locals and frequent customers. Sad because I am in the area for a week and WAS looking for a go-to place. Family Table would have qualified had the employees had a modicum of personality.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in the town of Decorah. I had the steak and eggs omlette and my girlfriend has the fried chicken special. Both meals were served promptly and hot. We were waited on very well and the servers made sure to keep my coffee full. The price of the meal was very reasonable compared to other diners in town. You know this place is good because alot of the local retired folks eat here and it can be hard to get seated. I would highly recommend!
