I am Venezuelan specifically from Maracaibo. I am afraid that I have to give this place a poor review. The food is not good at all. I had the Venezuelan sampler. The food was not hot, not fresh at all and not authentic, in the sampler the shredded beef was season as a Cuban “ropa viaje” and trust me i LOVE ropa viaja but that is not a Cuban place, the “cachapa” was very pasty and the list goes on. The Hallaca was ok but think because everything else was bad my mind was already turned off by the food and the hallaca was also cold and they took forever to bring it out because they were heating it up. For drinks we had papelon and it was good and my cafe latte was good. Needles to say, not good at all! My entire bill was roughly $50
The atmosphere is cute. And just as I am giving a poor review on the food, I must say the staff is very friendly and always smiling, I actually felt bad on a dish that was not to my liking and sent it back (something I really dislike doing). The dish sent back was what we call a “tumbarancho” when ordering please keep in mind they will give you a regular arepa with the filling in the menu; however a “tumbarancho” is smothered in a special batter and deep fried and that is NOT what’s given. Sad to say I will NOT...

This place isn’t just my wife’s favorite Venezuelan restaurant—it’s her comfort zone. Every time we walk in, it’s like someone opened a door to her childhood. The smells, the music, the way the staff greets her like she’s family—it’s beautiful to watch. And honestly, that alone would earn this place five stars.
But here’s the part that really matters to me: I’m not Venezuelan. I’m the cringo in the corner trying to pronounce “cachapa” without sounding like I’m ordering a Pokémon. And yet, they never make me feel out of place. The staff is kind, patient, and genuinely excited to share their culture. They walk you through the menu like they’re inviting you into their home kitchen.
I’ve learned to love the food, sure—but I’ve also learned to love how this place makes people feel. Whether you grew up eating arepas or you’re just curious and hungry, they make you feel welcome. And that’s rare.
So yeah, five stars. Not just for the food, but for...

A little upset I called in to order the SOUP OF THE DAY since I saw on the menu it was $ 9.99 I get there and my card gets charged $16.99.
I ask why and the guy lets me know it’s because they gave me a big soup….. (first of all there is no options on their menu “large or small”
I don’t see anywhere on the menu that it shows big soup $16.99.
The soup looks regular/ small to me.
I left feeling a kinda lied to miss leaded and ripped off…. by their prices that are incorrect.
Had I know it was $16 I DEFINITELY would not have gotten that soup I would have chosen something els. 👎🏼
Not to mention I’ve ate here before and the food is good. This soup was NOT worth the $16 to me.
Note to the owner:: please fix...
