Feels like we've had a lot of gimmick restaurants and trendy locations opening revolving around different foods in the last couple of years. U Pizza isn't really any different. I had my eye on it for a few weeks and randomly got a coupon from Instagram, so I figured why not go? You walk in and the vibes and look of the place are pretty cool, I would say it's a nice place to go hang out with friends and eat pizza. You get to customize your order Subway-style and watch it cook in a huge revolving pizza oven. Staff is nice without being overly friendly. The pizza itself is fine.
Just fine.
I ordered a veggie pizza loaded with peppers and onions and I really feel like it didn't have enough time to cook. The peppers felt like they were barely warmed. Cook times between ingredients just seemed off. The sauce was good but overall it was just unremarkable beyond tasting under-cooked. My partner ordered a triple cheese pizza and while it was cooked perfectly it was way, WAY too salty. There were some nice options on the menu if you don't go the custom route, but I'm not going to pay $20 on top of my meal for a dessert pizza for two people. If you have a big group and don't mind spending a little more to get customization and an experience, it's fine. Overall we finished our pizzas but probably...
Read moreMost horrible experience I’ve ever had with a business. To make a long story short, they sent me the wrong pizza and it was undercooked. When I called them, they wanted to make it right, which was nice of them, but I was already in the middle of waiting for them for 45 minutes and my company was hungry so I had to troubleshoot a different dinner not wait again. So they offered they offered to give me another pizza. At a different time when I was ready. So when I was ready, I called them and they That they will give me a 14 inch pizza instead of the extra large that I ordered and no toppings and this took 30 minutes of negotiating and looking up when my order was given to the company that delivered dinner. So they said they couldn’t do it the day that I called because the manager wasn’t in, but she did say just call the next time and we will definitely give it to you cause we spoke to the manager and the manager said I can have a 14 inch so today I call to get the pizza and they tell me the same thing again I can’t have the pizza because the manager is not in and the girl didn’t know nothing about the pizza so I’m over it. Good luck with this company. I highly do not recommend...
Read moreI guess it isn't a franchise even though it seems like a themed restaurant, but I don't know what the theme is. I ate here a few times and the quality depends on what you order. I ordered the barbecue chicken pizza the last time and it didn't look nearly as good as the photos made it look. Also the pricing is kind of outrageous, not expensive just ridiculous. A 12'' pizza costs $12 but a 14'' pizza costs $5 more. But then there's a coupon that takes $5 if you spend 20 or more, so think of it less as a coupon than a rebate if you buy a bigger pizza.
I suppose the cool thing about the place is the customization options and the variety of pizzas, but I wouldn't say the variety is drastically different from something like Domino's. It's a nice looking restaurant and the staff is friendly, but as I said the food just varies. It's better than something like Hungry Howie's (Although pricier) but not really as good of a quality as some other pizza chains like Papa Johns or Domino's. It's probably most similar to Blaze pizza but with varying...
