Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in DeFuniak Springs

Absolute piece of s#!t place, and that’s not based on one experience. I have been there a couple of times, giving them the benefit of the doubt, but they’re consistently bad. I went there a little late, still an hour before closing time, and they were out of waffle cones. Which normally isn’t a problem, but they didn’t want to take the few minutes to make anymore since it was so close to closing. Just straight up, “we’re out, pick something else”. I’m thinking, we’ll in that case, since it’s so close to closing, I shouldn’t pay full price either. Naturally, we left.

Then, the next time we go, we stood by the ice cream section waiting to order for literally 30min (I’m usually pretty patient). One employee was working the drive-thru and a second one was working the donut side. As we stood there, no one looked or even acknowledged us. We finally asked one employee who said she’s working the drive-thru and the ice cream worker is in the back and should be coming up. Another 15 min I wait then eventually go out to my car to get something. Well, I found the ice cream worker, sitting outside in the back of the store. I believe she just got off work because I heard her say earlier that she was getting off soon. Mind you I heard this while standing in line. I guess “getting off soon” (with people in line), really means “get off now and run because I’m lazy and don’t want to do anymore work but still want a pay check”. I assume, the other employees thought she was still working because neither of them offered to fill the gap and take an order. Later, another employee appeared to show up to work. Hopeing this may be the replacement who will finally take our order, we waited around a bit more. But no dice, I guess the new employee went on break immediately upon getting to work because still, no one came out and neither of the existing employees felt is was their problem so they ignored us. We fooled around with the idea of going through the drive-thru since that was the only employee working, but at this point, I really didn’t want to spend money here. Easy fix, went next door to sonic and got our milkshakes, like a normal business. I think I’m done...

I came to get to milkshakes from the Defuniak Springs, Florida Baskin-Robbins drive-thru which when you drive through into this certain location of Baskin-Robbins the drive-thu driveway curbs lock you in and there's no way to drive out of the drive-thru line unless you go all the way through or attempt backing up a winding circle of two curves that have locked you in once you drive in and that's only if there are no customers behind you in line. When I got my total and it was almost $15 for two milkshakes I told the drive-thru employee that it did not say that price being so expensive on my end of the drive-through board menu. she said that corporate would not send them a new drive-thru board menu stating the correct prices. So I had a decision to make. Either wait in a line that I'm locked in either way, or pay the $15 and when i finally get through the line it won't be for nothing, so I paid the $15 for my two milkshakes. I really do not have buyer's remorse, I just don't feel it is right to have something built in a way that you cannot exit the drive-thru line and then knowingly have different prices on the drive-thru board menu than the ones that are actually being charged, plus the refusal to replace the outside menu with the correct menu prices, all of these things put a bad taste in my mouth, then I tried my milkshake and that made it a...

I have stopped at this Baskin Robbins 3 times since they opened, hopeful each time, but left very disappointed. This last time, my husband and I tried going to the drive through. There was only 1 car at the pick up window. They started to take our order, then stopped and never came back. After several minutes of the car still at the pick up window and our order still not placed, we moved up behind the car and i got out and went inside to order. No one greeted me at the door or even at the counter after I stood there for at least 2 minutes. Someone came by and asked if I was ready for my order. I had been ready to give an order for several minutes. They walked off after I had told them yes and never came back. Another girl came from the back as slow as possible and asked what I wanted.
