When you first walk in you can tell that they want to make sure you’re covered with TV’s! We got seated and when the waiter came she wasn’t in a good mood at all and I felt like we were a bother to her right from the start. First time at any Beef O Brady’s any where so we weren’t in a hurry and wanted to enjoy what they had to offer. She seemed annoyed that we were asking questions about drinks, appetizers and the entrees. We ordered drinks and the sampler planter and asked if she could get the drinks and put in the order for the appetizers as we still weren’t sure about entrees. When she came back with the drinks we were ready to order and she”huffed” under her breath. We got the sampler and everything on it was really good but the mini corn dogs as the center was cold still. My wife got the pulled pork and Mac and cheese and it was pretty good. I got an Amarillo bacon hamburger it was called I think. First bite was a little disappointing as it was bland and this is to have spicy cheese and jalapeños. The second bite the whole “uncooked” bacon came out with it and I about puked. Now the bacon in reality was partially cooked at both ends but the middle was not. Each has a preference on bacon but the bacon should have at least seen the grill while passing over it to my sandwich. Take out the bacon experience and I’d rate the sandwich a 3 but the bacon took it to a 0. The bathrooms were well aged and not well kept. The table top surface where we sat was totally gone and needed to be redone as it was sticky. For us it was an odd experience with the appetizers being so good but the hamburger not good at all. If I’m spending $50 to eat it needs to be better than this establishment.
The restaurant offered a free appetizer so that was nice. However we did not take them up on it as we couldn’t make it back there...
Read moreTypically we like this Beefs and stop by when we are in the area but this time it was a disaster. First thing the waiter tells us how he is tired and ready to go home. He asked a time or two if we would like an appetizer first so wanting to get something right away to munch on, we ordered spinach dip and chips. After 15 minutes we flag down the waiter and ask him if our appetizer is ready that we would like to eat it before our food is ready. He takes off for the kitchen and comes back with our food mumbling something about a printer mess up in the kitchen and did we still want our appetizer. We told him to forget it and take it off. My daughter and I ordered baskets, one fish and chips and one fried shrimp, which were fine in portions although the shrimp were over cooked. My husband wanted a plate and ordered the fried fish and shrimp platter. It was 2.00 more and he got 2 VERY VERY small pieces of over fried fish and 4 itty bitty shrimp and 1/2 the amount of fries than we had gotten on our basket. Ours was cooked, his was 1/2 cooked. It was pitiful the amount they passed off on this platter which was 1/2 of what was in the baskets and $2 more. I will have to think very hard about going here again. This mess cost us $45 plus tip. We did leave the waiter a $5 tip out of obligation, but I really did not want to leave anything because the service was poor and the food was a mess. The whole meal and waiter...
Read moreService is actual -10. Someone from the back yelled that I could sit anywhere, even though there was someone within 5 feet of me. I guess he was too busy changing the TV channels to acknowledge my presence.
So, I sat myself and picked up the menu. They offered daily food specials as well as happy hour drink specials. This less than pleasant person approached the table and asked me what I wanted. I asked for the "Fresh margarita" and she said we don't sell alcohol. I was stunned bc of the menu I was holding but I JOKINGLY said, "Does no one here sell alcohol?"
Side note: The day before I'd been at the restaurant next to them and they also, didn't sell alcohol. However, they also didn't have it on their menu. And I still had a good meal and left a good tip....even after I literally asked the waitress there to kill the roach walking by my table bc I knew if I felt the crunch, I wouldn't be able to stomach my meal.
Back to this place of terrible service: She said "nope, but you can go across the street if you want." Across the street is a place that looks even more deplorable than where she is.
So, I left...never to return. A win-win for all!
I highly recommend Bogey's Bar and restaurant. It's less than 10 min away and a difference of...
