Copying and pasting from my spouseās report to Starbucks corporate. The way this place is managed is truly subpar. Ridiculous.
Former avid daily Starbucks customer until I moved to Del Rio. Oh my! The drive thru & in person experience - excruciatingly painful.
*slow as molasses in a freeze service all around *drive thru wait appears intentionally slow *drive-thru person to even greet 1 appears to be milking the clock 2-3 minutes *instruction to pull to window for order ahead takes 2+ minutes *consistently out of food items, various milks, Splenda, syrups, pumpkin cold brew, etc *interior is dirty when I've gone in after losing my patience waiting in the drive-thru *For the most part, the barista or whomever just places drinks on the counter. Damn, if only I could read minds. *the accuracy of purchased drinks is completely avoidable; example, ordering a simple cafe latte w/ 1 Splenda, whipped cream & almond milk and the Splenda & whipped cream are missing when it's on the order ahead label or ordered extra espresso shots.
On 8/25/24 at approx 10:07 am, drive thru - closed & order ahead unavailable, 7 customers were waiting inside the store to place an order with 1 register including a drive thru employee. Seriously.
The fastest drive-thru wait I experienced in Houston was 7 cars in the drive thru which took 3 minutes for me to reach the window. 1 lady had 4 drinks, another paid with cash.
No wonder Starbucks revenue is down. Thank God for my rancilio espresso machine and vario coffee bean grinder.
There should be a sensor near the trash along with cameras recording how long customers wait in line along with a camera recording just how long drive thru employees take simply to greet customers. Where is management. Iāve never seen them. Where is management, team lead, shift leader...

I waited a little longer for mine to come out. A lady that looked like the manager came up to me about 10 mins later and asked if I ordered something and I told her my drink order again. She walked away, I assumed to make my drink, but instead went to a table and got on her laptop. Probably close to another 15 mins went by of me standing at the counter, and no one asked if I had gotten my drink. When I leaned over to ask the guy behind the counter (the same guy I ordered with at the cash register) he acted like he didnāt know what I was talking about and him and another female worker told me that they were going in order of who ordered first and they was really busy, in a sort of snippy tone. When I ordered 30 mins previously there was no one else behind me and it was not busy. I just didnāt appreciate how I payed for a drink and then had to stand there and wait for almost right at 30 mins, and then after asking 2 different times about my drink, they were not very friendly about me being kind of upset. I get that sometimes orders are forgotten, and I wasnāt asking to get my money back, but they didnt handle the situation well in my opinion. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen we went to this Starbucks. The line was a little long so when we got to the speaker we told them we'll give them time to catch up so it's not overwhelming. They said it was completely fine. So we waited a little bit and then finally said we were ready. Everything looked good on the screen so we continued. When we got to the window, we were getting our coffees. And I was excited for mine. The salted caramel cream cold brew. When I sipped it, it tasted like straight up black coffee. No caramel in it like you'd expect for it to have since its in the title... so I asked the guy if it had caramel and he looked at me like I was slow and took the drink and put like 2 pumps of caramel.... it still tasted like straight black coffee. I tried to mix the caramel at the bottom to see if it would taste a bit better to give it a chance. NOPE. Still bad. I asked how everybody's coffee was tasting and they said it either tasted like water or just strong black coffee. We all went to the gas station to try to fix it. We simply couldn't. I had to throw mine away bc I couldn't stand the blank, Bitter taste that it shouldn't have. And they gave us chikfila straws. It's kinda funny it feels like it's not real the whole situation.
