Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Del Rio

Its rare I eat at Chick-fil-a, as Im not a big fan of chicken to begin with, but with a limited selection of places to eat in Del Rio, I ended up just grabbing something fast. Located in front of the mall, it was easy to get to, right off the main street.

The drive thru had a bit of a line, so I went inside to order. The menu is pretty simple, not a lot of selection, prices are fair, but on the upper end for basic chicken sandwiches. I was surprised the basic chicken sandwich just has pickles and nothing else condiment wise.

My food came out quick, restaurant was clean, and food tasted good. It had probably been about 10 years since my last visit to any Chick-fil-a and I will say it was better than I remembered. The chicken here was crispy and fresh, a past experience where I received very greasy, soggy chicken left me turned off. This location was significantly better.

Overall it was a good experience, but they didn't offer anything I wanted to try, so I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich.

Im not as opposed to Chick-fil-a as I was before, so that says something for the quality of food and prep at this location, they made enough of a positive impression on me to make me think about...

Typical Chick-fil-A. Kind workers, "my pleasure" etc. It is just the simplest of task to get an order correct. But yet it seems to be impossible. The pieces of chicken used to be sizable and much better than other fast foods, but the nuggets are tiny and fillets are too small to even cover the bun. I ordered extra extra pickles. Unfortunately my order was to go so as we ate in our vehicle there was zero pickles. Not even the two that normally come with a sandwich. The young lady rang it up right, It was printed on top of the sandwich box, and it was on the receipt to have extra pickles. But absolutely no extra pickles. Nobody goes to Chick-fil-A to save money. It is relatively more expensive than many fast food places, but the quality used to make up for the difference. Difference. The staff I work with joined me at the restaurant of my choice, since it's my birthday today. So 10 of us met at Chick-fil-A. The staff at Chick-fil-A let us join tables together , though we hadn't called ahead and it was noontime. They had 2 registers helping other customers while we were with one cashier. Orders were taken quickly and cheerfully. We had about 3 other Chick-fil-A staff members help us with bringing our meals, drinks, refills, and taking up trash. We had a very pleasant experience and couple of us ended up placing few meals to go for people who couldn't make it there. Thank you for a wonderful birthday experience! Food was great and fast!.
