Taco Bell — Restaurant in DeLand

Was a very bizarre foodie experience.. I was called out by a mother that was in the lobby the only person in the lobby for videotaping the inside of the place for this review. It's understandable with a lot of creeps today that you got to watch out but I didn't get anybody's face and I was just trying to show in my footage that nobody responded when I walked in the place was a ghost town as you will see. Please keep in mind that I came in previously had to wait through the same experience until somebody finally came up to the counter and said something to me and took my order at that point. It seemed like it was a normal thing so I walked out to my truck came back and videotaped as you will see walking in. What you see in that footage is the same thing I experienced before somebody took my order. The young lady working the window which I believe happened to be the daughter I was referring to just stood there as I was waiting at the counter didn't offer to help didn't say hello or even acknowledge me. It was only after about 5 minutes of uncomfortable silence that I spoke up and asked if I could have some help at that point she walked over to the register looked at me I told her what I needed she rang it up never saying a word. So to make a long story short the manager who turned out to be very nice although she was Defensive from the jump, came out and asked me what I was doing I had to assure her that I was not videotaping anybody's face and just the environment so that I could leave a honest review of the facility and the food as well as staff. After I explained what was going on she was very nice and apologized. I believe the owners and management would be happy as far as the quality of food as well as the quickness of the order. So all in all I was happy with the food after getting over the hump with the manager that was cool but not to be recognized when you walk into a business and have to ask for help just to order when somebody is standing there isn't professional or a good working model for a business. I hope this review helps you out. One last thing if you drive a big vehicle this drive-thru is not for you. The absolute worst takeout experience we've ever had. The staff was rude and self-serving, the service substandard, and the restaurant stank. We were given the wrong order even though my wife was assured that the order was correct. She was kept waiting in the pickup lane even though there were no other cars in queue. Someone took half the order and disappeared, and several minutes later, someone else picked the order-taking. Frustrated with the poor service at the drive-through, my wife was anxious to conclude the transaction and get on the road. We didn't realize that we received the wrong order until we actually removed what we thought were the correct items but were willing to forgive the error until we discovered we were cheated out of the most expensive items in our order. At that point, we decided that we would go back to the restaurant to allow them to make their mistakes right. However, we were met with hostility, disrespect, and rudness. This, supposedly, is a non-corporate store, but this gives the whole chain a bad reputation. I am a regular customer. I usually order through doordash from the other Tacobell on International speedway blvd which is way better than this one. But I moved recently so I had no option other than to order from here as this is the only one doordash shows.

I ordered a black bean chalupa, nacho fried, a drink and a black bean and rice bowl. First thing the were out of chalupa. Like seriously they ran out of the most selling item. It's like KFC saying that they're out of chicken. Second thing they sent the order in a plastic bag which was not sealed. Which is very unsafe with the COVID situation going on. And looks like the plastic was melting becoz if heat from the fries as they were spilled all over.

Ok if they were out of chalupa. Instead of calling the customer the left a note hand written on a paper napkin.

Nacho fries were all messed up in the bag. I called the store and the lady was like yes we left a note that we are out of chalupa. And she was rude.

I recommend everyone to go the other tacobell in the area which is on E International...
