I normally drive out of my way to use this store. Not anymore. The girl at the desk was inept at best. We went in for a new phone as my son's phone died. We picked out a phone and she preceded to transfer his old data into the new phone. When asked for payment we told her it was going on two separate cards. She claimed she couldn't do that. So I said ok take what's on this card and I'll pay cash for the remainder. She ran the card as normal instead of giving the payment amount, then states she can't use this card. I said ok thank you and started to leave... She said wait wait I already transferred your info to the new phone. Don't you have cash? I said oh well I can't buy it without my card. I started to leave again, and again she yells wait. Like a light switch turning on all of a sudden she knew how to make the transaction! While we waited for updates etc I witnessed another miracle. A Spanish speaking man came in and was trying to purchase a new phone. The girl at the desk kept talking to the man in English. Poor guy was struggling to understand her and to state what he wanted. This continued for at least 10 minutes. Bam here's the miracle when she needed to ask for money she spoke fluent Spanish! Nope...
Read moreCheck your receipt before leaving the store! Make sure that there are no surprise charges before you leave the store! I just switched from Boost Mobile to Metro, taking Metro's deal for a discounted iPhone. Unfortunately, it took a full hour to port my number over from Boost Mobile (at Boost Mobile, your account number is a secret number) and I was distracted in the process. When I got home and checked things over, I discovered that I was not signed up for the $60 plan, as discussed and agreed with the store's sales people--I was signed up for a $76 plan ($60 plus a "Premium Service Bundle"). I was able to remove the bundle ("immediately") using the Metro App and received a $16 credit toward next month's fee, but I was/am disappointed that this occurred. This was not oversight on the part of the sales people: This was deliberate. Not a good start for a new customer relationship with Metro. Since the Metro stores in DeLand apparently share sales staff, I will likely use a different Metro store in another city...
Read moreI went to this store today (12/4/24) at 11:15 am, and the door was locked. I knocked to make sure No one was in the back, but I did not receive a response. I then called the store with no answer. I called back at 11:50 am and a Spanish women answer. I asked what are the operating hours for this business, she responded normal hours are 10 am to 8 pm. I questioned why the store was not opened at the time of operation. The women responded, "the normal hour of opening is at 10 am, how can I help you". I asked her what time she opened today and she responded, "I don't know". I asked to speak with a manager, she stated, " I am the manager ". The manager that did not know what time she opened the store and her correspondence was unprofessional. I have reviewed other comments, and I am sure this is the same women with the poor customer services. Metro PCS may need to investigate and respond to the voice of...
