I'd like to stress that I am in Rehoboth every month and the servers at institutions such as Nicola Pizza, Louie's Pizza, the Purple Parrot and so forth can testify as to how supportive I am of Rehoboth's restaurants. I believe eating out is a luxury and always give a minimum $20 tip. At Crystal Restaurant, I left a $1 tip and I should have left $0. Completely unacceptable. I'd like to think it was because of our server, who was completely unprofessional. He began by slamming waters down on our table and then audibly sighing before saying "does anyone here want coffee?" We then waited 14 minutes before putting our order in. Two items on our order were wrong and no drinks requested ever came. When someone in my party pointed out there was ham with her order, the waiter angrily insisted "you SAID you wanted the western quesadilla"- when she did not. (Vegetarians often have to go out of their way to stress they don't want meat, since this is a mistake kitchens commonly make) It was a disaster and at the very least, I got the manager to remove the missing teas and soda we never got and the items that had meat on them. I wanted to support Crystal Restaurant but the behavior of this guy- who, notably, also brought food first the table next to us, which had come in 20 minutes AFTER us- has ensured I will never, ever bring my business back. Avoid this place. Robin Hood, Louie's, Gus & Gus are better institutions who will...

I’ve been to the Crystal many times over the years and have always been very satisfied. Recently, I was in Rehoboth Beach over the New Years holiday, staying with friends. We went one day for lunch and our waiter, David couldn’t have been nicer and more attentive even though he was obviously busy. The food was good (although my hamburger was a little undercooked for my taste). David recommended the homemade New England clam chowder and it was spot on and loaded with clams. Next time, I’ll be sure to get a bowl instead of a cup. We went back again for breakfast the day after New Years. It was after the breakfast rush so it wasn’t too busy and we decided to sit at the bar. To our delight, David was once again our waiter. Once again, his service was GREAT and the food was delicious. Being born in Lewis and raised in the eastern shore, I miss my scrapple and of course, I get it every time I go back to visit. They really know how to fry scrapple here! I will definitely be stopping in again soon on my next visit “home” and will for sure ask to have...

I was vacationing in Rehoboth, Delaware a few days ago. There was a group of seven of us that arrived for a Sunday breakfast at Crystal Restaurant. My husband is experiencing some health issues. Usually, we look for handicap parking. There were none available. A parking lot was opening up near the door. The individual with me stood at the parking space for our friend (the driver) to pull around and park in the space. There was a man that approached our group outside ( a regular) who verbally abused all of us for taking the parking spot! I never met such a mean person! He even went as far as to not let us in the front door! Finally, we got the attention of individuals inside the restaurant. We were told the excuse that he is a "regular" and is experiencing health issues. After we were in the restaurant, the harassing continued! Sadly, management didn't make it a point to speak to us. Very disappointing! Sadly, from...

Outstanding breakfast at Crystal. My (local) cousin recommended Crystal for breakfast and it did not disappoint. Breakfast companion ordered the half portion of crab Benedict on sourdough. It came with hash browns. It was perfectly cooked and companion, a professional chef, was delighted with the preparation and taste. I had a breakfast sandwich - scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheddar (layered) on an English Muffin. It was the tastiest breakfast sandwich I have ever had. We also had coffee which was very good. The service was excellent; the waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. We were both very happy with our orders and look forward to a return trip. PS Cousin Tim told us the omelettes were outstanding and he regularly goes into the kitchen to compliment and tip the cook. Note: the waiter said he knew who I meant.

I stopped here for the first time yesterday. My friend has been eating here forever. I am glad I took his advice. The staff was friendly. The prices were super reasonable for a resort town. I ordered the gyro salad. It was huge, it had two stuffed grape leaves and a great dressing. Covered in gyro meat. And put together like they were serving it to their family. It started with a great cup of md crab soup and was served with a plate of toasted pita and bowl of tsaziki sauce. The next time I order it the sauce is going on the salad immediately. The whole meal was awesome. I will be a frequent visitor here for sure. Next I'm trying the crab cake eggs benadict. It sounds awesome, and if they cook it with the care they put into my salad, it will be.

I ordered eggs Benedict with hashbrowns and a large glass of orange juice. The food was mediocre at best.... the hollandaise sauce tasted like neither lemon nor butter, it was basically just a bland, flavorless sauce. The hashbrowns weren't cooked properly and tasted like raw potatoes and the orange juice was so watery that I think they must not have had enough for a large glass so they watered it down to fill my glass. My son, however, said the sausage and Belgian waffles were great. The one positive is that our server was friendly, attentive and polite.
