As part of a family that always went to Ocean City for summer vacation, I was unsure of what to expect for my first visit to Rehoboth Beach. When we arrived to Hotel Rehoboth, parking was available right outside the back entrance so we could check in. When I walked in the hotel, I was greeted with a warm welcome from the front desk staff. They provided us with room keys, scheduled our breakfast ‘reservation’ and gave us detailed information about the hotel’s amenities. There is a small parking area under the hotel with an elevator that takes you directly to your floor. This made using the luggage trolley extremely convenient. We arrived to our room - it was clean and well-stocked with towels, extra pillows, and extra blankets. The bathroom was incredibly clean. The hotel provides a shuttle (an 8-passenger golf cart) that will take you to and from the beach/boardwalk. The hotel provides beach chairs and towels, which made a world of difference not having to lug your beach chair back up to your hotel room or to your car, and not having to worry that your 1 beach towel is clean and dry for the next day’s activities. The beach was clean and inviting. The boardwalk has a plethora of dining options for an easy lunch on the beach. When we were ready to go back to the hotel, all we had to do was call Hotel Rehoboth’s front desk and ask to be picked up. On average, we waited about 5 minutes for the shuttle to arrive, and we’re back at the hotel within 10 minutes. There is a small outdoor pool on the 2nd floor of the hotel. Plenty of lounging chairs, tables and umbrellas surrounding the pool. Towels also provided for the pool! Hotel Rehoboth provides a wine and cheese happy hour from 5 - 6:30pm (yes, they literally give you wine and cheese and you can graze as you please) and chocolate chip cookies at 8pm. Sleeping was great - the hotel was quiet (even during the day.) Upon check in, you choose a time for your breakfast reservation (7 - 9:30am on the half hour). The breakfast buffet was wonderful. Breakfast potatoes, pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, cereal and milk, bagels, toast, English muffins (toaster provided), yogurt parfaits, fresh fruit, coffee, juices, tea. It has literally everything you could ever want. Staff at breakfast were kind and upbeat. I am not exaggerating that Hotel Rehoboth took my first trip to Rehoboth Beach from average to luxury. I will never stay at another hotel in...
Read moreDon't forget anything at this hotel. They will do you a "courtesy" and tell you that they can have your items shipped. Unfortunately for a luxury hotel this "courtesy" process lacks care and common sense. They hand your items off to a third party shipping company along with a sheet of paper with your credit card information. They do not get tracking numbers or at the very least keep any records of this exchange handing your items and CC # to another company. I was able to call the company to get a tracking number myself but had I been properly informed of the process I would have opted to pick up the items myself instead of my credit card information being put on paper and passed along with my items while the hotel kept no documentation or log of this exchange. The shipping company also did not pick up my items for 6 days. It makes me wonder where my items and the sheet of paper with my CC info was stored until pick up almost a week later. I would have happily paid a service fee to the hotel so that this process would have been more secure. Leaving two stars because the hotel is very pretty, rooms are spacious, and the location is nice. Beds aren't very comfortable and the pillows are square and feel short when you're using them. Overall my stay was fine but their process and customer service for forgotten items falls short from what you'd expect from a...
Read more2nd time we stayed here. Cute, cozy, & homey feel. Neat & clean. Room, great. Free breakfast, great. Staff, nice. Starbucks is within short walking distance. Underground parking garage is good but very tight. Highly recommend you drive your smaller car & not a truck or any big car. Hotel is next to police station. 👍 Location is not in in busy traffic area; meaning towards end of Rehoboth Ave. They have a shuttle up to beach but wasn't available in April. Here's a few areas of opportunity: 1. If you like to relax, rest, & stay in during some of your stay, you must make it clear no housekeeping & hang do not disturb sign on the door. We found they seemed too eager to clean. They knocked twice while we had TV on & came in to our surprise. Also make it clear no turn-down service at night. I'm a very neat & clean person. I even took towels down to front desk. 2. Great they have a trash can & recycle bin in room. Outside in the hall, however, no recycle bin. This would be helpful because small recycle bin gets overflowed fast especially if you drink a lot of water. 3. Food in restaurant is ok. It's not phenomenal food but I wouldn't say bad. It's not my type of food. Come to Rehoboth Beach armed with research on where to get great food. It's something I have on my to-do list for next time. The wine, however, was great....
