Ice Cream Shoppe — Restaurant in Delaware

Repeatedly POOR customer service. Nice ice cream, okay selection. I can't go back after the last time. Well, in the past any sort of line there becomes a nightmare and it's slow despite having a multitude of employees standing behind the windows this last time was more of the same and worse. This time I lined up behind two short lines that were at both windows and as I approached the first open window with five male employees both standing around behind it and leaning against the back counter. They shut the window on me and I waited for the next window to clear. I stepped towards her window and a man quickly walked towards it stepping in front of me. All the while the female employee was making direct eye contact with me. I point blank asked her"Which window did I need to be waiting at?" She snarkly answered, "This one." The man who stepped in front of me apparently didn't want to offer, "Were you first?" And that was that. I didn't make a scene. I just figured this was not worth arguing over any further.

Again. Not the first time customer service was off. This time, worse.

As for food, it's priced okay but the portions are not great.

The location is good if your at the local park.

The ice cream is good compared to soft serve. However comparing it to U of D's or Woodside Farm, you notice it's more like store bought. I recently paid a visit to this amazing establishment and I'm still in shock from how delicious it was. The staff were incredibly welcoming and happily offered their recommendations on what flavors to try. And let me tell you, the options were absolutely mind-boggling! From classic flavors like vanilla and chocolate to creative combinations like rocky road and mint chocolate chip, there were so many options. The quality of the ice cream itself is so creamy and smooth, with just the right amount of sweetness - I could practically taste the rich, fresh cream used to make it. And the variety of toppings and mix-ins were endless! I opted for some hot fudge sauce and sprinkles on top of my scoop, and it was really good. Aside from the incredible ice cream, the atmosphere at the Ice Cream Shoppe is also a delight. The decorations are charming and whimsical, with bright colors and cute ice cream-themed accents all around. The seating area was spacious and comfortable, making it the perfect place to eat outdoors.

Decided to give this place and although both the banana split and pineapple sunday were delicious I was highly upset over the stale and really hard funnel cake I received from them. I thought with funnel cakes they made them as it was requested since it doesn't take long to make one. But apparently they must make them in bulk and sit them under a hot-light or something. Because the one we had was pretzel hard and totally uneatable. And since I did notice they have a sign that states no refunds/returns I just took it as a loss and tossed it in the trash.
