So we took a little trip down energy lane today. We didn't have to look very far. It was 7 to 10 minutes from Brandywine and Trolley Square. Lots of options in either of those places but we were in search of something more personal, something with just the right energry.
We arrived and were greeted by Monique who treated us like we were guests in her home- so inviting and such a positive vibe. She let us know there were 2 new owners and they took over about 3 months ago. This just built up our expectations. Would they survive us? Lol
When we pulled up to this cozy cafe and we started to explore, we realized it spans larger than you may think if you don't venture beyond the sidewalk. If you don't - then I must tell you in full certainty, you are missing out.
You are missing out on an amazing Nacho Zito (shh can not tell you all the yummy stuff in the yummy stuff) I would spoil your fun taking in all the things that are THE THINGS. The Classic Ceaser with crabcake was so beautifully chopped and arranged that I thought it might end there but as I lifted my fork to my mouth and felt the warm salad hit my tonue, the crab cake literally fished the happiness right from my center! This was the most amazing crab cake ceaser. Chefs Kiss! Don't leave without ending this steller experience with an herbal tea and dessert. The peanut butter banana chocolate cheesecake was bliss!
Love the fact that all the ingredients are fresh and local, even down to the honey for your teas!

Read moreArrived around 7:15pm, decided to get a table in the performance room and while it was loud, we could hold a conversation. Ordered the Chips & Salsa/Guacamole and they were a nice starter since we both were hungry. We both ordered burgers; she had the SmashBurger and enjoyed it while I had the Veggie Burger(vegan using Beyond Meat). I had so many of the new generation vegan burgers and this probably was the best Iâve had so far in 8yrs! Loaded and tasty! I ordered a second beer and my server didnât know the name of the replacement beer(the first one kicked during dinner) but said it was an IPA. I took her word for it. I was full but wanted to try the Coconut Chocolate cake on the dessert menu, so ordered one to go. Our server brought it out in a box and we opened it to see. Iâm not kidding, but it was the size of a Costco sample. My wife and I had had a long week(letting someone else cook and turn off our brains), so we werenât in the mood to return it and wait to get the bill adjusted. Definitely not a sharing dessert! Other than the dessert we had a great meal and will probably go back again but...
Read moreI reached out to Bellefonte Cafe to host my daughter's 5th birthday after seeing an add for event space on social media. It was one of the best decisions I could have made! I used to be an event planner and working with the team at Bellefonte was fantastic from beginning to end.
After my initial conversation with Cooley I knew we found the right place. The entire team was so kind and accommodating throughout the entire process. They allowed us to come early and put up decorations, had very thorough communication, and excellent food and service. The back terrace has the best vibe. You go through a cute shed entrance and have ample shade and tables. We didn't really need a lot of decoration because the whole area is so charming.
Throughout the party, all of our guests kept commenting on the atmosphere and how good the food and drinks were. I will be reaching out again the next time we need a venue space. Thank you again for such a great experience! We can't wait to come back and check out some of your events like Cigars...
