Mazzellas Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Wilmington

Absolutely done with this place. This is the fourth time in a row that they have messed up my order. Two of those times, they got it wrong twice. Once, I was told by the girl who answered the phone that Italian hoagies are made a certain way so the people making them don’t always look at the ticket. That’s ridiculous and unacceptable. Tonight, the girl taking my order had no intention of writing it down or typing it directly into the system until I went out of my way to explain it was a special order because I wanted American cheese instead of provolone. When I got home, surprise, there’s provolone cheese on it. I drive back to the restaurant, tell the same girl what was wrong, she tosses her head to the side and takes it back. When she returns, she had the audacity to ask me if “that was the only thing wrong with it”. When I attempted to say “That, and the fact that this is the fourth time in a row that you have gotten my order wrong.” she walked away in the middle of my sentence. Shout out to the other girl (with a long ponytail) who noticed, asked what happened, listened and apologized all while doing enough work for two employees (I watched her catch two additional mistakes on orders while I was waiting). When I got home, the second time tonight, they fixed the cheese but forgot onions. Consistently messing up orders and having an attitude with customers when it happens is again, ridiculous and unacceptable. If you can’t handle the workload, hire more staff. This was my first time trying this restaurant although i ve been living close to it for a year now , so I thought i would give it a try. I checked their menu online not enough description or pictures for every plate so i called to order for pick up and ask them some questions about some entree dishes that i was choosing from , the girl who answered the phone was SOO RUDE and she was clueless about the menu and didn’t even have the patience to answer any of my questions , i even asked her to ask the cook how they cook one of their dishes she didnt even bother to ask !!! all she did was just asking me over and over what size i want and if i want side salad in a really rude way like she is trying to tell me just place ur order and hang up pretty much . Even when i went to pick up my food she was still rude and no sense of hospitality or anything .I tried to speak to the manager but noone even bothered to get him upfront. She got one of my orders wrong and the other order tasted horrible . So the service was bad and the food was terrible too !! So definitely not coming back to the place it was a waste of...

I have had both take out and in person dinning here. I'll start with the dine in experience. Not much atmosphere, but neat and clean. I had the Spaghetti With sausage. The meal was ok not one of the best red sauces in the area though I have had better. I also had the Antipasto Salad it was very good. The portions for both the salad and Spaghetti were huge way to much for me to eat in one seating. We decided to try their pizza for take out one night and we were not pleased. We ordered a cheese pizza with sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and black olives. The pizza was covered with the topping so much so that I could not taste the sauce or the cheese. The green peppers were not cooked through. I don't know if it was because of all the topping but the crust was soggy. This is one of the worst pizza experiences I have had in this area.
