For months I have b en asking local friends, colleagues and clients to eat at Joy’s Village - and everyone refused. All have horror stories that sound more like urban legends than the truth. So on a day. Needed to run a few quick errands in Delaware I dropped in solo. My go to for testing a new-to-me Asian Restaurant is General Tso’s chicken. I use that as a barometer for deciding to come back and try any house specialties. There will be no return nor any trial and possibly greater error than not just listening to my friends in the first place. I even walked in very hungry - which can gloss over a multitude of culinary sins. Had I not been starving, I doubt I would have eaten as much as I did. Save yourselves. Find a different place to dine.

Ordered chow mein (which has noodles not cabbage, celery, and carrots only) got chop suey and when i called to politely let them know they lied and told me chow mein doesn't have noodles. Used to be a good place but this left a very bad taste in my mouth quite literally. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I will start of saying great pot sticks. However their was only 6 tiny pieces of chicken in the kung pow chicken none of the vegetables were cooked all the way. The general tsos chicken was over cooked and the fried rice was white rice slightly more cooked nothing else to it (we also had white rice to compare it to), and the steamed broccoli that came with it was practically are. The egg rolls taste like straight cinnamon, overwhelming so (which sucked because we bought 7). The crab Rangoon was pretty much air given the amount of filling. The egg drop soup is blinded together and has a stirred jello consistency. Horrible delivery. we live in an inside apartment complex and had me walk outside I left the money in my apartment and he refused to walk to my door so I had to walk back inside then back outside to get to him to pay. Called to complain and they refused to refund money when stated we would bring food back(excluding the pot stickers as they were good) and simply told us we were would get 50% off our next order like we would order again. Horrible food, horrible service, would...

Never had a problem with the quality of food at all. The first time we ordered, it was great! No complaints at all. The second time we ordered we got a COMPLETELY different order than what we paid for, so we just sucked it up and ate it. Again, quality of food is great! Third time was fine as well. However this last time we ordered, I tipped the delivery guy and he stopped me saying I owed the whole total of the food. I had proof I paid with a card online (we do this each and ever time we order). He said he needed to verify with another co-worker to make sure it was taken out. So I stood there waiting with him while he did this so I could get my food.I don't know if I'm the only one who had this problem or not, but I have never had this issue before, and it was really frustrating for me to have to wait with him until I had my food because they didn't trust I paid online. I understand needing to make sure... but I feel this is something that shouldn't happen. I'd hate for someone to get charged twice from...

Every time I order this food it is slammer. Ive been to shang hai lilis, tian fu, golden china and shanghai when im not in delaware and the general tsos chicken just isnt right at these other restaurants ( stringy gristly lower quality chicken, sauce way too sweet) and i just couldnt get my fill for general tsos chicken. However at joys village i can always count on a delicious bowl of fried rice and chicken. The food comes hot and im not worried about it getting cold on my ride home. The breading on the chicken is perfect and crunchy along with a wonderfully made sauce (not too sweet not too sour or salty) and the fried rice is classic. I find myself only wishing i could eat at joys village when i order from other chinese restaraunts when im not in the town of delaware and i expect that they’ll keep up the...
