It's a real shame because I've been waited on by the owner of this Popeyes and he is so lovely and he actually was asking me if he could hire my daughter so that I could train her. Had to give good customer service lol. Hopefully that will jog his memory as to who is leaving this review because sir the lady with the disgusting fingernails who served me through the drive-thru window on my second go round really need some retraining and an attitude adjustment. I came through the drive-thru and the young man help me. He was so lovely and gave me such good service. He told me that if I wanted to add garlic parmesan to mild chicken being that it doesn't come with extras, it doesn't come with sauce. It would be 75 cents extra and he would put the sauce on my mild chicken cuz I don't like spicy. I said that's no problem. I pay get my food start my way home. I get halfway home. I reach in my bag cuz I couldn't resist the smell of the fries and lo and behold I have no garlic parmesan sauce so I go back and I go to the drive-thru and he says oh I'm sorry bring it back around and I'll tell them to do it. I pulled back around. I give the lady my chicken who sitting there waiting in the window and she looks at me and says what do you want and I said well I paid extra for garlic parmesan sauce and she's like we don't do that. I said I paid extra for it. She goes well. We don't do that. I'll give you a side. I said well he said he would put it on for me and she goes. Yeah well I don't do that and then handed me a side of garlic parmesan sauce. Her fingernails are dirty. I don't even want any of this food. She is disgusting as bad as her attitude to just tell the customer that you don't want to do something because you don't do it. Why couldn't she just give it to the person who said he would do it for me is my question. Why did I pay extra if it's not something that is done and I'm looking at my receipt and there is an upcharge for it so therefore it is something that is done and I'm just glad that I didn't have her dirty hands touching any of my food. She is absolutely disgusting and dirty and filthy and shouldn't be anywhere near...
Read moreThis was my 3rd chicken sandwich experience (first time had the original, pre-soldout sandwich, second time was a Monday in downtown Philly) and by far the worst. Admittedly, this time it was a take out for the family and we had to wait 25 minutes before they arrived. The first telltale sign that something was amiss was the sandwiches were wrapped in parchment paper and NOT in insulated FOIL bags. That pretty much guaranteed that everything would be room temp by the time we got them home. And one of my other family members brought a spicy Chick-Fil-A sandwich (to cut up and share) to compare against the Popeye's sandwiches. As for the sandwich - bun was stale (must have been sitting out on the counter since they relaunched the sandwich a week ago) and WAY OVERSIZED for the puny chicken fillet that was hidden inside. The chicken, this time, unlike my previous other 2 sandwiches, with small, dried out, and did not have the super-thick layers of light flaky/crunchy crispness. In fact it tasted more like an overcooked, KFC, extra-crispy recipe. And to top it off, there was only 1-slice of pickle for the whole sandwich (which given the puny size of this chicken fillet, was probably all the more that would fit on it). Needless to say, my attempt to razzle-dazzle the family by showing off the Popeye's chicken sandwich compared to the Chick-Fil-A failed miserably. I am hopeful that this is just a franchise variation and the key is to just avoid this particle location. The chicken sandwiches at this location were far INFERIOR to those at the other locations I've tried -- Aston and Spring Garden St location in Philly, which both served fillets that were larger than the bun, lighter and crispier, fresher buns, 2 pickle slices, and packed the sandwich in wrapper AND...

SHE TURN AROUND AND TOOK THE CHICKEN OUT OF THE BOX WITH TONGS AND PLACED IT BACK IN THE TRAY WITH THE CHICKEN UNDER THE HEAT LAMPS ( THERE WERE BONES AND PIECES OF EATEN CHICKEN IN THE BOX) I ASKED HER WHAT SHE WAS DOING DID SHE NOT KNOW DOING THAT IS AGAINEST THE LAW. SHE LOOKED AT ME LIKE WHO ARE YOU, TOOK 2 PIECES OFF THE TRAY PUT THEM BACK IN THE BOX AND THREW IN IN THE TRASH. THE ENTIRE TRAY WAS CONTAMINATED AND THEY CONTINUED TO SERVE FROM IT.
