The Chicken House Restaurant — Restaurant in Delaware

My family and I love The Chicken House. In fact, every time my father-in-law visits from California, he makes sure we order a large meal from it--including the fried shrimp appetizer and an entire routisserie chicken!

My toddler has always enjoyed the food from our main dishes too (which any parent will tell you is a big deal), and last night, we opted to try the chicken nuggets from the kids' meal, and they also were a big hit. He described them as "really yummy".

Whenever I am able to choose the meeting place for social lunches with colleagues or friends, I try to get us to the chicken house, and order the Caesar Wrap lunch combo, which is also a personal favorite and a great value. Their yellow rice and yellow sauce are unique and exceptional as well.

I should have written this review some time ago, as this is one of my all-time restaurants and has been since moving to Pike Creek. I am grateful that the Chicken House has been able to remain open during COVID-19, and I hope for their...

In my opinion Peruvian food is one of the best in the world. The fusion between Asian countries and South American countries truly makes Peruvian food unique. The Chicken House did not disappoint and will be back.

Lomo Saltado- The lomo was a little dry but still had the classic taste of garlic, onion, aji armirillo and soy sauce. The meat was fresh and the white rice was cooked perfectly.

Beef Empandas- Imagine lomo stuffed into an empanda... This was sick and was a unique twist.

Alfajores- Cookies were so moist and melted in your mouth. Milk/Coffee with this dessert was ideal.

Green Sauce- The green sauce was average but its so delicious that even average green sauce is still game changing. I personally could of used more spice but it was still enjoyable.

Overall- This is the type of quality I expect when I go out to eat. Everything was fresh and home cooked. Not the most amazing Peruvian food your going to have but it is amazing...

I went to the chicken house on 08/12/22 excited to try the food. I ordered a chicken empanada, beef empanada, pork chop platter with rice and beans and chicken with French fries. I had originally asked for a large beans before I got the pork chop platter. Once I got the pork chop platter I asked to remove it. Once I get home I noticed that I have the LG beans and they charged me for it. I began to eat my food when I noticed a piece of hair In my food. I instantly stopped eating and call them. The lady who I talked to made it seem like I was lying. She asked for a picture. I sent it to her no problem. She told me she would give me a credit. I said no thank you I want a refund. She sounded like she got a attitude. So at this point she’s like you have to come in. I said cool will I get a refund from the beans she said I don’t think I’m going to do that.
