Crumbl — Restaurant in Delta Charter Township

Went to Crumbl the day after their grand opening. Had only heard the hype and hadn’t personally tried it prior to this location opening. If you follow my reviews (mainly bakeries) it’s not a big surprise I would go here. I’ll be honest, my giving it three stars is super generous. It’s getting three stars because the line moved quick and the staff was really friendly and personable, even with the huge lines, and I hold hope that future cookies will be better. The cookies themselves were just okay. This isn’t to the fault of the staff. It’s a chain and they don’t create the recipes. The fact of the matter is though, is these cookies just aren’t nearly as good as Insomnia Cookies 20 minutes across town. While the staff is friendly and the ever changing menu is neat, the quality of cookies just can’t compete with Insomnia. My fiancé and I actually ate and compared both location’s chocolate chip/chunk cookies at the same time. Not even on the same level. Sorry Crumbl. Store itself is nice, always clean and there's never much of a wait. Staff seems a little rushed at times, but I've worked in areas like this so I understand that's just the nature of the business. There's been a few times they haven't shown the cookies before giving them to me. The only real negative I probably have is that the toppings can be hit or miss at times. We've gotten cookies with a good amount of whatever the topping happens to be, and there's been times where they have really skimped on them, and I don't mean like I just personally didn't think it was enough, I mean it was noticeably lacking. My wife is in a crumbl discord server and comparing them with others, ours has at times been severely light on toppings. But that's the only criticism I have, otherwise everything has always been pretty good and cooked perfectly. So I'm still going with 5 stars because even with my little bit of a criticism on the inconsistency we see in the toppings at times, we've still never had a bad cookie. I have been ordering crumble cookies for quite a while now . These are the most delicious and fresh cookies you will get anywhere. Now that I have the app, it’s much easier to get them right when I walk in.

I would say though that the service needs a little work. Even if I am the only one that walks in the door. I have never been acknowledged until they have the cookies in the box and are ready for me to look at them.

The atmosphere is just a small area for patrons to walk in and most new comers are pretty confused and it takes a minute to realize where they go to place the order. Then everyone is kind of jumbled for where to stand app orders and current ones .

The only other thing that I wish they would improve is their larger cookie boxes are kind of flimsy, I almost dumped cookies a few times. But now I pay extra attention and try to have someone with me to open doors so I don’t have to go to one hand to hold it.
