normally i don't leave any negative reviews of places I've eaten at! My wife and I went to the new Texas roadhouse on the westside tonight. We check in they took my name and phone number and they sent me a text letting me know it would be about 29 to 30 minutes. No problem! 35 minutes later we get a text saying Please gather your party quickly and proceed to the host stand to get one of the next open tables -TXRH Checked back in and they told us to have a seat on the up next bench. Another 16 minutes go by and my wife informwd the hostess that we where still waiting . They apologized and said they had us on the hold list. OK problem! The girl forgot to check us in. we waited for about 46 minutes total. Next I didn't like where they sat us so I asked them for a booth the girl said she would get the manager. While I was waiting for the manager some of the workers over heard me and sat us down somewhere else. the manager never came. Later after we've been seated and ordered our drinks she came to see us. Basically, i let her know what had happened so they can correct that problem. when you receive a texted saying they are ready for you that means you will have to wait some more.
again! The managers responded that's how they do it there and making up other situations of why they do it this way. After we ordered our food which I ordered an American burger pink center and my wife ordered the salmon. In the mean time the manager and some of her employees where Dancing in the restaurant! Which I thought she is more concerned about having a good time than taking care of the customers. The burger was well done and my wife's salmon was very dry. Now our waitress was fantastic!! We gave her a very nice tip. All this being said I will never go back there again. I'll stick to the Southside Texas roadhouse where I've never had any problems. I think they don't have it together and they are more worried about having fun than taking care of the customer! Ps: manager never came back to check up on us like she...

Was told it will be about a 10 min wait to get a booth in the bar area to which we were fine with that. 10 min went by and a booth became available. Booth was left dirty for an additional 10 min. I approached the host desk and asked if the table could get cleaned so we can be seated. Was told they didn’t have anyone that could get to it yet. I mentioned that there were four employees at the host stand that were just standing around talking. The reply I received was that the others were in training. I forgot that it takes training to clean a table. We were finally seated at 7:06. We ordered our meal immediately along with an appetizer. We hadn’t received rolls yet as they weren’t available yet. Once they became available, our server didn’t retrieve any for us to which we were patient. Finally we retrieved the rolls ourselves twice. At 7:37, we had not yet received our appetizer or meal after a 30 min wait. The waitress came finally and told us that another service gave the appetizer to another table. We declined a new batch as our food should arrive shortly to which didn’t happen as we sat another 10 min. So now an hour into our visit, no appetizer or meal. We decide this was enough and wanted to leave so that I didn’t loose my patience. I informed our server we were leaving. She was nice but not very attentive as should would’ve known we didn’t have our appetizer yet had she checked on us in 30 min time. I also made the manager aware of the experience to which her reply was sorry about that and hope you have a good night. She was nice also but handled it poorly in my opinion. I left the review because this is not the first time we’ve had this type of experience. We do not plan on visiting this location again. Hope this reaches the right eyes. End note, the food is usually always good, just disappointed with...
Read moreThis is the third time I've been to this location since it opened, first time was on a date and was great service and the only reason it's even getting a star at this point.
The second time we came, we waited over an hour and a half just to have them seat us at 3 tables no where near each other. We had called before coming and told them as soon as we got there that we needed to be together because we had out of state family here and wanted to catch up. Part of the group ended up walking out after the employee we had been communicating with told us they were not aware the group wanted to be sat together...
This time, there were 10 of us so we KNEW there would be a wait but we had multiple large parties that got there after us that got seated before Us some how. We spoke to a manager about being sat together at table because it was easier for the elderly family we had to get in/out of and they told us it wouldn't be an issue. After waiting for over 1.5 hours, we finally get sat in 2 booths that are not by each other. We were basically told its all they had while the parties sat before us had tables and sat together. Our waitress was sweet and apologetic but so much of the food was wrong. Our appetizer was never put in. Waitstaff had to be flagged down by multiple tables because they were too busy line dancing (which I've never seen in any Texas Roadhouse I've been in). We watch one of the kitchen staff take his gloved hands, play with his hair then touch people's food. None of the steaks/burgers were cooked correctly but at that point we were tired of saying something. Finally, a supervisor/manager came to check on the table and how our experience was and I was flabbergasted that when I told her it was the worst experience we've had at a Texas Roadhouse and her response was simply, "I hope you have a good night" and walked away. We definitely will not be back to...
