So bad that we actually spent the entire time laughing. The hostess was so friendly. She seated us with a smile and our waitress , without a hello or introduction walked over and asked, "what do you want to drink?" Then we waited 15 minutes or so as 2 other tables came in, were seated, met their waitresses, and were served their drinks. Then, our waitress came out from the back, empty handed, and started arguing (right behind us) with another waitress about who had to wait on us. She brought our drinks and took our order. I asked for a chicken platter and she asked me if I wanted tortillas or toast with it.... what?!? I asked if it came with these and she said no, it was 99 cents additional. I should add that neither tortillas nor toast would "go" with the meal. After ordering, I went to use the restroom. Walking in, our waitress was changing toilet paper in a stall, so I entered the other stall and saw feces all over. I quickly walked out and waited while our waitress left the first stall and changed the toilet paper in the dirty one and left. I used the clean stall and walked out to find another customer getting some paper wet at the sink. She turned to me and said, "Thank God I'm a nurse. This is horrible!" I offered her the clean stall, but she said no and began cleaning the dirty stall with the paper towel. By the time I got back to our table, the waitress had brought out some rolls. They were DELICIOUS.... I hope hands were washed between chores! Our meals arrived. Mine was very well done, but my husband's was charred. He had gotten two breaded chicken patties with gravy and potatoes. The breading was so burnt that the neither his knife nor my steak knife would cut it. Both meals came home as chew toys for the dog. 2 stars because we enjoyed the laughs, the rolls were delicious, and because my husband had warned me about Dennys but I forced him and later had to admit that...
Read moreHuge let down. There was a time Dennys was "The America Diner" where everything came out hot fresh and almost a home cooked meal. Many nights spent there with friends enjoying kind wait staff and friendly cooks. Well that illusion is Shattered when you go here. Host don't greet you it's almost as if they're stuck remembering the 6 ft policy. When you are greeted your rushed to a table with only as much as a "how many, this way". Okay ignore the host. Let's fast forward to the waitress herself. Super rushed felt as if we weren't important. Once our order was placed I'd felt confident it couldn't possibly go wrong. Short stack, bacon, French toast (bigger size then I'd hoped since they cut the small menu) and hashbrowns. Food gets to the table I'm missing pancakes. I mention it to the waitress and she said "you want those AND all this?" Well I did... I figured split my hashbrowns and cakes to take home right? Not so much after someone insinuates you're fat based of the size of your order. An oder which was easier about 2 years ago. 1 cake 1 French toast slice 2 pieces of bacon and am order of hashbrowns. Now you can't get al carte orders. No single cake no single toast. Order large. Why to be criticized? Needless to say my chunky butt made sure to eat as much as I could seeming as I felt it was after all what she thought I was after. Ducking my head in shame I swore to never go back. Thankfully mu girlfriend stayed to handle things. I'm not tiny(180lbs) I don't believe in the word "fat" or implying people are. Dennys wait staff should ask you to order more and more not question and imply you've ordered to much. Never will I go back. If these things don't deter you away their cold half cooked turkey bacon, pancake puppies or half sized overcooked pancakes will. Food that's not cooked right, rude staff. It's...
Read moreI honestly do not even know where to begin at how HORRIFIC my experience was here... The hostess greeted us & seated us immediately, however it was with the disclaimer that they're a little busy and that she would get our drink order & then a server will get our food order. Sounds pretty normal so I didn't think anything of it. Next a dishwasher brought us our drinks. The server took our order & also let us know that they're "a little busy" and it may take some time to get our food. We also heard every person seated after us asked "if they'd been here before on a weekend" and get the same spiel about the wait. While we sat for 45 minutes waiting for the food to finally arrive, we got to watch the table next to us walk out immediately upon receiving their food. At first we thought they may have been overreacting until my food arrived ice cold. Sent it back to "get fixed" and waited 15 more minutes to get my plate back, which was a completely different sandwich. I told the 'server' & she apologized and said she would take care of it on the bill. I didn't even bother to eat it. As we were leaving, I commented to the booth next to us who were recently seated that they should probably just leave since it's been a really bad experience. I was told by the 'server' that "we don't need that in here". I replied by saying "you don't need the truth?". We got up & left to pay the bill. The same 'server' then approached and said "we told you when you sat down that it was going to be like this". This was just a bad experience all around. Staff that is trained to allow the mediocrity of the service & trained to 'warn' paying customers of the subpar service & food being presented to...
