Horrocks Pizzeria — Restaurant in Delta Charter Township

It pains me to give a 3 star rating because I really love Horrocks.

The pizza itself was just okay. Kinda mediocre. Though after we offered and paid, the gentleman helping us was complaining that it was the only chicken parm pizza for the day because nobody prepped chicken this morning. Which means our chicken was prepped when? Yesterday? Earlier? No idea. The chicken was probably the worst part of the pizza. It was dry and lacked flavor.

It was about 4:30pm on a Monday when we ordered. The 3 employees working seemed exasperated by how busy it was. One of them said in an annoyed tone to another employee... "Its always 5pm here". They just in general didn't seem to like being there and were showing that annoyance to paying customers.

We did very much enjoy the cheese breadsticks though. They were the star of the show.

I'd like to try the pizza again sometime, a different kind, but I think the service and how they speak in front of customers can really use some...

I want to share my recent experience at Horrocks today. I love this place and pizza, but I had to rate my experience a four due to the poor customer service I received from the girl at the register on 09/27/24. The bad customer service started with my phone call to place the order. The way she spoke to me was unprofessional and rude. When I went to pick up my order, I observed her speaking the same way to other customers in front of me. When it was my turn, I handed her a single piece of pizza and told her there was an order under my name. After I paid, she realized she hadn't heard about the whole pizza order and responded to me in a rude and unacceptable manner. I had to tell her that she needed to work on her customer service skills. This was a very frustrating experience at my favorite place to shop. I hope someone will address this issue and teach this young person that people have options, and it's her service that will determine if...

Must say we tried this pizza because we were in town at a hotel and figured we would give it a go.

At first they didn't have exactly what we wanted so we changed our order. NO biggy! But then after waiting and walking around the store for 40 minutes. Some of my order had been forgotten. Not a biggy when (shout out) Jody offered a pop while my bread stix were made. Okay way to fix it. But even more while I waited, Jody made huge success with customers. Some mad about the wait time, others were slices cut wrong. No biggy things to me. But she made sure that EVERY guest left happy with their order.

As far as the pizza and garlic stix! Freaking amazing. Taste was the best and all 6 people in our family LOVED this pizza... wish we had this where we lived. It was wonderful. When visiting next we will make sure to...
