First, I really don't want to sound like a male Karen. Though I am honestly just infuriated at watching customers and delivery drivers being disrespected because it's messing with everyones funds.
I have never left a brutally honest review like this before, however the past year with this location has been a major problem and absolutely infuriates me. Not just for me, but other customers and delivery driver's (Doordash, Uber, Etc.). Earlier in the year this store was ran perfectly. Food was out quick, staff was incredibly friendly and taking out deliveries was done within a matter of minutes if not instantaneous.
However, I've noticed something genuinely disappointing with the overnight staff; mainly with the management. Food takes an insanely long time to come out. Not just for regular guests, but drive through and online orders.
Side note: I am a Doordash driver, so I frequently have to visit this place. Meaning I get to witness these events take place on the daily to literally everyone.
On my way to this location (Which was about a 13-15 minute drive) I was contacted by the customer and asked if I was on the way, because she had been waiting for about 30 minutes and no one has picked up the food. I told her, "I'm on the way now" and after reaching the store, I noticed that the food wasn't ready. Actually, NOTHING was ready. They were all just standing around and chatting. I sighed and sat down because I knew I would be waiting for a while. I was right, because about 10 or so minutes passed by and still no order was placed out. I waited so long, that another driver showed up. He waited too, and when we both had waited together for a while, he asked about the order and the short female manager with glasses decided to give him attitude as if he was the problem. So it's okay to demean people who are probably getting paid less than you all because you wanna be slow?
Once I was doing a Doordash run here a few months back and wanted to see just how long they would take by testing them on something since they had a long line of cars and the entire lobby was filled with people waiting close to 20 minutes or more while I waited for my doordash order. So I just went ahead and ordered a single sweet tea. I waited in total about 25 minutes and never received it. A SINGLE SWEET TEA. I ended up just walking out without both my tea or the other customers order because they weren't doing anything. That's not even an exaggeration either! That's how bad!!
I have worked for several restaurants and fast food environments. NEVER have I seen something this poorly run. I'm not the fastest employee either when it comes to working in a kitchen, but it's like the people who work here don't even try. Like just tonight, I was picking up an order that was literally just a HASH BROWN AND SAUSAGE BISQUIT and ended up leaving after never seeing the order.
If you visit this place, understand that there's a high chance you'll be waiting an insane amount of time and probably get insulted or disrespected by the manager mentioned above if you dare to even ask what the status of your order is. God forbid the manager has to take a few minutes to do her job.
Literally no other McDonald's in the entirety of Volusia, Seminole and Orange county performs as badly as this one. I should know, because I've actually done deliveries for every single one of them for years now. If you're driving through Florida on I-4, do yourself the favor of stopping at either the McDonald's on Howland or wait until you reach Sanford.
By the way, to whatever manager or owner might be reading this, I genuinely believe this kind of outcome was not your intent. However this McDonald's can garner a lot of income due to being right off of I-4 but the staff and management seriously need retraining ASAP or to at least have a serious meeting about the problems. 25+ MINUTES FOR A TEA AND NEVER RECEIVED...

First When I got to the drive through I wasn't asked if I was gonna use my McDonalds app code. The sign says "if you're not asked about the code you get a free apple pie". When I mention it the young lady says I usually ask at the end of the order 😑 (slick right?) I said ok fine.
Second Guy at the first window dials something incorrect and has to get a manager to fix it. Me: Ok I'll wait.
Third I asked for 2 caramel frappes with extra caramel and a large fry. I get 2 frappes with just whip cream 🤷🏻♂️ and some old and cold fries. I realise as I take off so I had to park and go in. I thought: maybe they forgot, I'll just ask them to pore some on top. I'll get extra on another ocasion. I go inside, Im seen but ignored. I wait for minute and finally, the moment of truth! Me: I orderd caramel frappes but no caramel, can I get some pored on top? Employee: We dont have caramel. 😑 I was literally left without words. How can you charge me for something you dont have??? What really upset me is theyre lack of care. Its like it doesn"t matter to them. She didn't even suggest an alternative. All she did was comment to the manager, who also said "yeah we out of caramel''. Um ok 🤷🏻♂️ and said sorry they didn't tell you, you want your money? It's not about the money. Then I heard the manager say: "Ima shut the door, this people coming in and out, this and that, I can't" I had to tell the young lady just pore some chocolate, hand it to me and didnt even look at me when she did.
Honestly I never comment on any reviews or whatever. I understand customer service isn't easy, I've been there before. But customer service workers have to also understand that they have a job because of customers. If you dont like your job, find somewhere else, quit, do uber, door dash wait no dont do that, its also customer service 🤦🏻. Be kind, be compasionate. Customers also have bad days and just want to jave a warm meal, frappes or whatever you have adverties! Frappes are my only gilty pleasure and it sucks that the employees that attended me today are miserable at their jobs. And if you make a mistake make the customer feel good about it, fix the problem and dont have this stupid, ignorant look on your face like you dont understand.
Hope this helps you decide if you want to eat here or not....
Read moreThis place was so extraordinary busy I couldn't find parking when I finally did I proceeded inside the lobby to place my order every kiosk was occupied so I got in line to place my order. I only order two sausage patties & a hashbrown; 15 minutes later the entire Lobby had cleared out of people there before and after my order was submitted. My daughter was having a tantrum because she couldn't understand why everyone else is getting their food except her. So I inquired about the lengthy timeframe to complete a small simple order and was told our order was in process. Another length of time had passed with additional people coming in ordering paying and receiving their order so once again the lobby was empty and my daughter still did not have her order it has now been 18 minutes since I paid for my daughters $4 lunch so needless to say irritation set in. I had paid for two sausage patties so I inquired again needless to say the order had been ready and put off to the side forgotten about and that's when my three-year-old daughter got her lunch 21 minutes after I paid for it. When provided with my order not even a basic apology for the delay was extended. This is not the type of service I am accustomed to and was extremely disappointed I will not be going back to this McDonald's location. I would not recommend it to anyone else either. Several other people were complaining about the poor turnaround time on something as basic as a double cheeseburger. It's not like they were short-staffed there were so many people working in there they were tripping over each other. Maybe they need last bodies in there and more competent staff who can do a decent job - keep in mind that quantity does not equal quality painfully obvious today at...
