Locals Bar and Kitchen — Restaurant in Denham Springs

Burgers were okay. Handmade. A little under seasoned. But still good as they were very fresh. Got the Boudin nachos. Would have been much better without that remoulade. It overpowered everything and that's all you could taste. Basically horseradish mustard. So it kind of ruined it. But if you like to go eat sushi and say screw the fish I want the wasabi then that is for you. Unless you're a biker stick to a waiter. Was a very friendly crowd of people just a very weird experience to try and eat there. Everybody pulls in on their motorcycles and you pull up in a minivan. We decided to get our food to go. The bartenders were great! But the people that were their are nothing it drama & young & want to fight everyone . Me and my husband went, he left to go get change from the circle K and all these young guys wanted to start crap with him telling him to move his vehicle and wanted to fight him all because of what??? I really don’t know. It’s young, drug infested, & drama there. It use to be a good bar but I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! WE have been here multiple times and it’s the same thing. The bartender wasn’t welcoming when we got there. They didn’t have anything to make any drink I ordered. They said the deep fryer wasn’t ready yet to start making food when another bartender was eating fried food and so were people at the next table over. At the end we found out they were automatically pouring doubles without us asking so our bills were more expensive than we thought. Let a girl know how much alcohol you’re giving her!!
