Uno Dos Tacos — Restaurant in Denham Springs

I was excited to see a taco place in Denham Springs, but unfortunately I can’t recommend this one. The tacos themselves were actually tasty, but I just couldn’t believe the price. They have a 1 taco plate and after tax it’s like $7.60. I was thinking surely if the plate only came with 1 taco that it would be a large one. Wrong!! It’s the same tiny street tacos you see everywhere. You can get like 3 of those for that price. They also don’t give any extra tortillas to eat the rest of the beans, so I guess you’re just supposed to eat them with a spoon?? Like I said, the taco itself had a good taste, but I just couldn’t believe the price. Then I went to the counter to ask them if I could upgrade my plate to the 2 taco plate and pay the difference... they guy at the counter, not even considering that I might be a bit off put by the portion size simply rings me up for a single taco... no questions asked. I even told him I was surprised the tacos were so small. Nothing... He could have refunded my 1 taco plate, rang me up for a 2 taco plate, gave me an extra taco and I could have paid the difference. The Tacos are pretty tasty, However the prices are expensive. Just for 1 street taco will run you $4 and change. Just starting out I don't think it's a good idea to skyrocket the prices especially if you're trying to encourage people to eat at your restaurant. Maybe down the line gradually increase the prices but I think its really unfair. Especially because the flavor is there but the portion size needs to increase. It's way off and sometimes your still hungry very shortly after. I don't mind paying for Quality and TIME preparation etc... but Please Add more Food to the plates. I understand about having to make a profit and nothing in life is free however be mindful that they're plenty of other competitors out there with equally good food who arent as steep and will get more business because they have a lesser price and give more food. The managers told me to take my time looking at the menu. They answered all questions, very friendly. I ordered my husband and I each a beef burrito. 7.95 each. She charged me for 2 steak burritos and so that's what they made and gave me. I checked before going out the door saw it was wrong so I went back told them and apologized. She said it was her fault. She remembered me ordering the beef. They made us each the beef burritos and told us to keep the steak burritos. And credited back the difference which was 4 something. I felt SO BAD. They both kept telling me it wasn't my fault and not to feel bad. I ate 1/3 of my beef one and am stuffed!!! They are SO GOOD!!! Amazing customer service!!!! Great food!!!!! Worth the money.
