Just left this location to find another donut shop to get breakfast from. It’s around 5:45-6:00am right now. Donut palace has been open since 5:00am, they close at exactly noon. Once I went inside the store there were 3-4 employees working kitchen, one girl working register. Not even a third of their food shelves were full yet after almost an hour of being open. They had donut holes, cake donuts, sprinkled, and some really questionable looking sandwiches, the sandwiches looked threatening. I asked the register worker when they were going to have their full menu selection available to order, she said usually between 8am-9am they have the rest of the donuts available. They close at noon, and they don’t even have their food really available until halfway through the shift, which is wild because I’ve never seen so many people working on prep/cooking in a donut store kitchen before. I’m not sure if they even show up to prep their food until they are ready to open the doors for business. There are donut shops in town with two elder workers showing up at 3am everyday to bust out some dough, blanket some pigs and brew some coffee to have you ready to go to work with a full belly no later than 5am each and everyday, take your money to them and don’t bother with the clowns at “Donut Palace” or “Donut Place”? I’m not sure what the name is, everywhere you search it says palace but the sign at the store says place. Man I just can’t with this place, I’m too bothered about this, I probably need to grow up a bit, but I’ll grow up when they don’t promote their business much differently than they run it, google images got my hopes up too much just for these lazy sacks to let...
Read moreNormally we really love this place and go there often for our kids...Great donuts n great customer service...Unfortunately, we did have a bad experience for my daughters 10th bday which was very upsetting...She's been wanting birthday donuts since she discovered they do that so we ordered them like 4 days in advance for her bday today...She was hyped up all wk to see her donuts..Today finally came, we took her to pick them up n they NEVER even made them at all!!! Apparently, their communication is writing it on a post-it note then putting it in the bck for the bakers to see it but they never seen it...My daughter was very upset but didn't wnt to let it be known...The 2 ladies wrkn did apologize n threw something together really quick for her which i appreciate but I was never offered a discount or anything for the inconvenience..They even charged me the price for the actual birthday donuts, even though they weren't the original ones we ordered bc they never even made them!!! They need better communication with the bakers or need better customer service when it comes to mistakes clearly made on their end!!! Their calendar was even marked for today about her donuts...Very upsetting and I think they need to do better!!! Her donuts should have been cheaper then wht I paid or even free to be honest!!! Not ordering...
Read moreMy chocolate donuts were so disappointing this morning. I usually go to Southern Maid but was traveling in the opposite direction and didn’t want to backtrack. I won’t make that mistake again.
To pay with a credit card you must spend at least $5. When the employee told me my total she was quickly turning away and I couldn’t understand what she said until the drive-through window closed (which is also when I read on the window that you must spend $5 to pay with a card). I told her I needed to add a few more items and it really confused her. I tried explaining I was adding the items because I needed to pay with a card but she was hardly paying attention.
They also didn’t have any ice. No idea if that is...
