We were fortunate to attend Emily’s Friends and Family Service last night, and it was a wonderful experience.

Although the front of Emily’s is currently surrounded by street construction, the restaurant still managed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that drew positive comments from passersby.

The recently renovated interior is stunning, perfectly balancing the historic elements of the building with modern touches that enhance the dining experience.

For an appetizer, I had the calamari and grilled cauliflower—both dishes I highly recommend. While the grilled cauliflower was delicious, the calamari stood out as the winner. The sauce for the calamari isn’t your traditional cocktail or marinara sauce; instead, it’s a sweet and smoky sauce that takes bold chances and delivers big rewards.

For my entrée, I chose the skirt steak. It was cooked well, beautifully plated, and flavorful, though it was slightly salty for my taste. Others at our table who ordered the skirt steak thought it was perfect, so this might just be a personal preference.

Despite the staff being very busy due to the opening event, everyone was friendly and worked hard to get our food and drinks to us as quickly as possible.

I truly hope this place thrives—it’s always exciting to see a slightly more upscale restaurant in Texoma. My family, friends, and I will definitely...

What can I say! I never gave all fives because I have a strict policy of “there’s always room for improvement “ but here I can’t obey to my own rule. Starting with the welcoming of the host, to the beautiful restored building, modern but still warm and cozy, our very friendly waitress “Amy”, and what can I say the food was Amazingly delicious. The chicken fried steak was tender and crispy as well seasoned with amazing mashed potatoes and scrumptious green beans, my shrimp and grits were creamy and tasty with the perfection of grilled bread and five juicy tasty shrimps, our daughter’s turkey sandwich was full and flavorful accompanied buy some crunch seasoned home fried chips. And what to say about the two desserts, lemon tart with a raspberry sauce drizzle makes for a great pallet cleanser or try their fantastic expresso crème brûlé, creamy with a sugary crunch and a coffee kick to keep you going on your day. Well I think I said it all 5 out of 5 ! Great job to the entire group of people the staff, keep up the good work and the smiles,...

Tonight was the first time we’ve been to Emily’s. However it WON’T be our last!! We had a table of 8. Absolutely wonderful food, great service & reasonable prices. If you’re looking for some classic American foods with a Latin twist this is the place!! Our server was also so so awesome. (I wish I would have caught his name!!) he kept our drinks filled, he was nice enough to go over the menu with us. Even caught an order mistake before we did. My dad got the wrong order, It was so good with didn’t realize it was the wrong one, until our waiter came and apologized & needed up getting my dad a whole new steak, plus the sides that came with it. Over we had a great dinner & can’t wait to go back. They are had a wonderful house wine! K Bar K Grass Fed Filet & Flat Iron Steaks were top notch, our favorite was the Flat Iron cooked Medium-Rare. Shrimp alone was great then the shrimp & grits were amazing. The mashed potatoes had such a good texture & flavor, definitely...

I cannot begin to describe the feeling of joy we felt being here after the experience we had! Let's start with the atmosphere. Upscale with original walls framed into the decor and illuminated, the service was absolutely perfect, and the food!!!!! It was somewhere the culinary art is as decadent as the presentation! You know that someone has what it takes to earn that Chef title when you have a plate in front of you that you don't want to "ruin" because of the time put into it! Just know it's very appreciated on our end. You wouldn't think a spinach poppy seed salad would hit you with so many delicious flavors until you dine here. The chorizo queso was such a hit and a great addition to the table as well. With this being said, we cannot wait to return soon as this is an absolute when we come to Sherman/Denison! Thank you for an amazing experience!
