Gourmet Waffle Shop & Cafe — Restaurant in Denison

I ordered a waffle, ham and hash browns from here through Door Dash. When my order arrived I didn't receive my hashbrown. I called Gourmet Waffle Shop and was told I couldn't get a refund for the hashbrown because they don't refund door dash orders. I was told that they could make the hashbrown and I could pick it up (which defeats the purpose because if I wanted to go pick up food I wouldn't have ordered it through Door Dash.) Or they could credit me the cost of my next To Go order (which means I would need to go pick it up). I told the young woman that those options dont work for me and she said "Well, people make mistakes." I won't be ordering from them again.

On a good note, I contacted my Door dash driver who dropped off my order and he was kind enough to be willing to go back and get my hashbrown order once he dropped off the order he had in his car. I thanked him and I'm grateful he was willing to help correct the situation without...

Went for breakfast. Ordered the Blueberry Waffle and it was just a plain Waffle with some canned or frozen blueberries on top. Got eggs and bacon which were okay. The food I'd served on paper plates and 2 different type . Eggs and bacon were on one kind and Waffle was on a Styrofoam type. Water came in a plastic type glass which was fine. Apple juice was in a glass or plastic beer mug and room temperature they asked if we wanted ice. The coffee was in a paper coffee cup. The silverware was at least real and not plastic. The gravy came in a regular ceramic type bowl .

Mixed reviews. Best pecan waffle I have ever eaten! Asked for crispy bacon, got cold bacon, when asked for bacon that wasn't cold got hot bacon but it was tough like it had been microwaved. Biscuits were light and fluffy and had a good taste. Husband said the Gravy tasted and felt like paste though. When owner asked how things were hubby said "waffle was good". When owner asked what about the rest of the food hubby said "cheese belongs inside an omelet, not on the outside". Owner said, "you tell them how you want it and they'll fix it that way".
