Pete's Point — Restaurant in Dennis

Recently ordered a Prime Rib (MEDIUM) with Rice Pilaf & Veggie Medley, along with a Budweiser. Upon arrival, that Platter looked awesome! Couldn't wait to dig in...

However, after cutting into this choice piece of meat, it was RAW throughout the middle & with a quarter of the cut just being FAT, I suddenly became disenchanted with my order. The Vegetable Medley had Green Peppers and Red Onion mixed with Zucchini & Summer squash. Who does that?? Colorful, but NOT a good mix, as well as being half RAW & totally BLAND. STRIKE 2.

Luckily, the rice was VERY tasty & the Budweiser was COLD! Requested a Goodie Box for the outcast foods. Paid, tipped, & left the establishment hungry.

Promptly went home & REPAIRED my Prime Rib, TO ORDER. Removed the Green Peppers & Red Onion & seasoned the remaining Veggies. Only THEN, my juicy MEDUIM Grilled Prime Rib & Veggies with the past consumed Rice Pilaf, was FULLY ENJOYED. WHAT made my think I was eating OUT, THAT NIGHT?? I should have just gone OUT to Star Market. BETTER QUALITY ALL AROUND... except...

Good wholesome food. We decided to eat at Pete's Point Tavern because it was near the Cape Cod Rail Trail parking. We went for a hike and then decided to eat at the restaurant. I had the Baked Cod with mixed vegetables and a baked potato and my husband had the Pulled Pork and twice baked potato. The food was good comfort food. The only thing I have to say is that after living in south Louisiana for 30 years and eating the wonderful, well seasoned food down there, I am still not used to food that is not seasoned. We had never been to Pete's before. I was scanning restaurants in maps and can across Pete's. Nestled in a small strip mall, it's doesn't look like much on the outside, but theres a whole new world on the inside. The staff was friendly, easy going, seated immediately. The menu had plenty of choices and the prices were very reasonable. Our server was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was prepared excellent and timely. No long wait considering the tables seemed to be full all the time with customers coming and going. I'm already thinking about some other dishes they offered, so I expect will be back shortly....
