Geesh. No wine or beer. There is a liquor store in the plaza which is very nice, but you need to go there first. Then leave your purchase in the car, and go to the market afterwards. Not a huge deal, but this parking lot can sometimes be jammed. I also don't want to leave cold beer, or a nice wine in a hot vehicle. As for Stop & Shop, all of the staff members that I met were very nice and helpful. I was happily surprised to see that they carry Krakus Polish ham in the deli. It is getting harder and harder to find where I live in FL (c'mon Publix!). The produce was decent. We got some awesome cherries. Everything else was the typical supermarket standard, except for one thing. The security robot. This was nothing like anything I encountered before. Really people? It got in my way several times. I asked a couple of shoppers about it. One was indifferent, but an elderly gentleman told me on several occasions that he felt it followed him like a stalker on a few occasions. He found it very intimidating. He said it made him want to shop at the market across the street, but it is more upscale, and he is on a fixed income. He hated the robot. I think I do too. It was like something from a Dr. Who episode. Prior to going in, a couple of relatives told me to avoid the self checkout because it is problem prone. Then there are frequent audits on the way out. What's the point then? It takes more time. This store is convenient to where I stay when visiting the Cape. So I will go there. However, I would ask management to take some lessons from a store like Publix. Be more aware of your shoppers' experiences in your store. Nobody wants to be hindered by a "police" robot. Hire a couple of store detectives. Keep a neat store. Brighten the lights inside. Less self checkout, more cashiers like the nice ones you have. I am assuming that there is a lease or town zoning issue as to why you don't sell beer or...
Read moreTo the people that are complaining about the cashier and the sale prices being an x cashier of this company because now I'm retired. We have no control over what is put in to the machines at all. So if something didn't come up for sale, that is not the cashier's fault. That would be the mean offices fault. We have nothing to do with that. That being said, I know how to override the system myself because I done in a million times but since I don't work there anymore I don't have to do it. The lady that was complaining that it was 5 minutes of 10 and an employee said go get what you need really fast. Yeah 5 minutes of 10. They don't change the times on the website. They do post it on the store doors. The hours will change in the spring. It'll be 12:00 in Dennis and it is 11:00 in Yarmouth. So please don't be upset that the you know yes you shouldn't have. Somebody should not have been rude to you, but think about it as a learning curve. You know I worked in retail for 45 years. I went through the pandemic. I went through the very beginning of the pandemic and I hated every single solitary second of it because all the customers did was yell and scream it. As because we didn't have this we didn't have that prices or high. We have no control over any of that at all so please be a little bit more considerate to the people that are waiting on you and those stores and stop complaining about it. Put yourself in their shoes for a...
