Bangkok Thai Cuisine II — Restaurant in Dennis

My experience as a local is the Thai places are unfortunately getting worse and worse :( Might be night time is better? Like that one cook is still a good one? LUNCH for 2 people: 2 thai ice tea, 2 apps, and 1 entree $65 with tip. More expensive app of shrimp & veg tempura I ordered as my main meal, had a burnt aftrrtaste to it and looked like it was from a frozen bag of veggies, Shrimp, not the nice long ones you want in Tempura but 3 small curled up and sad shrimps. Entree ordered a 1 for a spicy scale when they asked for the preference and got an 8 or 9. LIterally couldn't eat it. I apologized profusely as I hate to send things back. Ever. They just took it, didn't say anything. I thought they'd just take it off the bill, and we would go. All of a sudden, we got the dish back, obviously just rinsed as it was watery now and no sauce. Food on the Cape just seems worse and worse. I feel so old saying 'I remember when things used to be good' all the time, but here I am again. Good...

Super disappointing! I've been to this location before, as well as their other locations around Cape and Islands. Usually I order Pad Thai, shu Mai, and crab rolls (my favorite). My husband doesn't really eat Thai so I figured the App platter for 2 would be sufficient. I asked if we could sub the spring rolls for crab rolls, we could not, wasn't too surprised about that. Halfway home I noticed there were no special sauces included and I called back to see if they just omit them for take-out. He apologized many times and said I could come back but I didn't see the point and understood, honest mistake. It was NOT worth the $20. My bad, should've ordered more food, but that wasn't even that good. Stick with what you know, pad Thai and crab rolls...

Keeping in mind that we had dinner on New Years Eve, the food was very good, though perhaps not the best I have had for Thai. The waitstaff was polite and helpful. The only reason that I awarded a good, and not a very good was the place was small, and loud. It didn't take long for the establishment to fill up, and it was hard to even hear each other just over the table. Also my pet peeve, my iced tea was never refilled. We received refills of water, but no more refills of soda or tea. Also the waitstaff was clearly overwhelmed, not enough servers for the tables that they had running.
