UPDATE: 👎👎👎 I had to revise my rating. When I went another time, the food wasn't all that hot and the entire restaurant was dirty. Every table and the floors had various bits of food on them and there were dried mud clumps on the floor that should have been swept up immediately but they sat there through my entire meal. I watched a passive aggressive old man worker clock out, not help the female worker at the counter when he was still clocked in. He also didn't sweep the obviously dirty floors before leaving. Just shameful! What else am I supposed to do? Oh, and I took care of them but they didn't take care of me. If tipping doesn't get hot food to my table, I just won't go. I haven't been back since. 👎
An excellent sunday evening meal: taco plate, asada, barbacoa, onions, cilantro, beans, rice, and salsa verde. Lime, roasted onions, roated jalapeno, half a roasted mini potatoe on the side. Hot and flavorful. One of the best salsa verde's. Pineapple drink to balance the spicy roasted jalapeno. Be sure to appreciate the staff and they'll take...
Read moreSo my husband is from Miami and I realized Mexican food is not as popular in that area... I feel like they should definitely open a spot or several in Florida period!! I always crave my street tacos when I’m there and I can never find any good spots that serve them!! I found one in the Orlando area but it’s not even close to Taqueria Monterrey!! This is absolutely my FAVORITE spot and I go as often as possible!! I recently took my brother in law (from Miami) here and he was so confused 😂 he tried to put ketchup on the street tacos 😜😜😜 He had NEVER seen a Mexican restaurant in his life!!! Please try the street tacos!!! They are amazing!!! My husband usually gets the Caldo de Rez and he loves it!! They have a huge menu to choose from and it’s always busy!! As far as I know they have two locations in Denton and I love them both!! Please open some in either Miami or...
Read moreMy husband and I have eaten here regularly until last week. I wanted tacos on the way home after being in the hospital from surgery. I order the fajita beef tacos. After eating one taco, I take a bit into my second taco and immediately felt it! A WIRE BRISTLE FROM THEIR GRILL BRUSH! It penetrates into the roof of my mouth. We immediately called to try and speak with the manager and they would not let us speak to the manager and wanted us to come get new tacos! WHY would I get new tacos if this was in my tacos their could be more. MOST people would just ignore this and continue. However I personally had a wire bristle imbedded into my throat last July that I spent 5 days in the hospital and it took three different surgeries to remove it. It’s been a week now and still no manager has called me back. I expect you to care about your customers, but nothing! So...
