My family and I used to love this place. We would go there for special occasions or as a treat. This place has gone completely downhill since we started coming here years ago.
The restaurant itself is old, outdated, and dirty. There’s duct tape on most of the booths, the tables seem like they have years of dirt and sticky piled up on them. There’s also a weird odor that just floats in the air. The cups and silverware seem like they haven’t really been washed in a while.
The food...oh the food. Where do I even begin? It was disgusting (I do have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the coconut shrimp though)...the food looked like it had been sitting for hours and the tray things they were in were almost empty. I kept waiting for them to refill them so I could comfortably try the food, but it never happened. They did have someone constantly going around and stirring everything so it didn’t look as old as it was. The sesame chicken looked as if it was half burnt and sitting for hours and half fresh/raw. The wontons are disgusting. Undercooked and over crispy (not sure how they pulled that off). The sweet and sour chicken was ok, but the sauce seemed like it was years old and had a really weird flavor. The dessert was old and flavorless. The ice cream machine was filthy. I almost didn’t let my son have some because I was afraid he’d get sick from it or catch a cockroach in it or something, but that was one of the reasons we went there. Because they had an ice cream machine.
This place is in need of a serious update/renovation/food makeover. We won’t be back unless that happens. Even my growing, always hungry, bottomless pit, will eat anything 6 year old son asked me to never go there again. On the way home, he even told me of his dream to buy the restaurant and “make...
Read moreMy son really wanted to come here. He's Autistic and very picky. So when there is a food he likes we want to support him. The staff was very nice, host friendly. We really liked your staff they work hard. I was sad to see the condition of everything from the dirty walls, dirty windowsill w/ crumbs. Sticky cups, food dried to plate in the stack of clean plates.
The food was super greasy. It doesn't have to be that way. I could tell the sweet and sour chicken was old/ reheated. The ice-cream machine was dirty on top of the machine, gunk on operation levers, and there was puddles of ice cream in the trays that were starting to dry. If you can't be bothered to clean the equipment, clean food signs at the buffet, and clean the walls in the booth and not properly maintain a standard you will give someone food poisoning. Please look over your restaurant are you really ok with the way it is? Please do better. You can have good food and a chance to show your culinary talent. But if you don't care about your health standards then why remain open. My family will not return for fear of food poisoning related to low cleaning standards and poor...
Read moreTerrible food and terrible service. Got our plates and the chicken was so chewy my husband had to spit it out, wontons felt like hardened clay, lo Mein was super bland, and it seemed like they turned down the syrup in the soda to save money because our sprite was almost just seltzer water. We took about 3 bites each and decided it was too terrible to spend $32 on for 2 people so we went up and said we weren’t eating this stuff and they told us we still had to pay for 50% of our ticket WHEN NEITHER OF US EVEN ATE. Then the manager told us we could only have up to 60% taken off our bill when in all honestly what we had was worth about $5. I’ve always known the customer to be right but they made it seem like we were wrong for not wanting to pay for the terrible food we didn’t even eat. It was very unfair because we still had to go eat somewhere else so having to pay 40% of our ticket plus going some where to actually eat after, makes it to where we’re paying for 3 meals when the 2 of us will only eat once. NEVER GOING...
