Barbacoa El Oso — Restaurant in Denver

Barbacoa El Oso was recommended by a coworker, and I am thankful they did.

Let’s start with the bad. The building is janky, inside and out. The parking is horrible, and entering the building is by no means ADA compliant. It is what it is, but I hope they are able to give their facility a much needed upgrade.

I came here wanting some tacos with a friend and, it’s just an odd place. The place looks very old. Everything is falling apart in there. The lady who served us was nice but she seemed very stressed because I think she was the only lady in there taking care of tables and togos. The food was ok, the meat is very stringy and the tacos are greasy. Another silly thing I noticed was they serve everything on paper plates. Even for people eating in, and wrapped...

Fue mi primera vez comprando barbacoa aquí el día de hoy. Y la verdad no me pareció. El repollo con cebolla y el cilantro con cebolla sabía muy agrió. Me dieron una salsa roja/anaranjada que sabía mucho a refrigerador y demasiado especié. La barbacoa está bien. Pero lo que le dan a uno para llevar no está fresco. Creo que la única verdura fresca fue el Limón 🍋.. Compré consome y esta súper salado. Gracias por el taco que me quito el hambre pero Porfavor tengan en mente de tener las cosas frescas. Se me hizo poco caro para lo que ofrecen. Aún gracias. 👍🏻

It was my first time shopping for barbacoa here today. And honestly it did not seem good to me. The cabbage with onions and the cilantro with onions tasted very sour. They gave me a red / orange sauce that tasted like a refrigerator and too spicy. The barbacoa is fine. But the sides they give you to go is not fresh. I think the only fresh vegetable was Lemon 🍋 .. I bought consommé and it is super salty. Thanks for the taco that took my hunger away but please keep in mind to keep things fresh. Its a bit pricy for what they offer. And someone that has bought good quality fresh food knows what I’m talking about....
