Basil Doc's Pizza Florida and Holly St — Restaurant in Denver

Crappy, old, COLD pizza! Inedible , hard, cold cinnamon roll. We ordered 2 pizzas directly from Basil Docs, over the phone, after our 1st order thru DoorDash never came. So, I drove over there just after we ordered ( they told us they’d be ready in 15 mins)-an 8 min drive. When I got there, they handed me what I assumed were our 2 fresh pizzas. One of the guys seemed uncertain if they were actually our pizzas so I checked & they were our order but they had NEVER made us the 2 fresh pizzas we ordered! I asked for more info & they said “oh! these must be the pizzas you ordered on DoorDash earlier!” REALLY??!! They had told us on the phone in a prior call that “someone picked up your order like 15 mins ago.” So, which one is it guys?! On top of that, we ordered cinnamon rolls (plural) and got ONE single cinnamon roll that was completely inedible & must have been sitting there all day. I didn’t have them re-make the pizzas b/c we had guests over that were starving & had been waiting on dinner for over 45 mins prior to re-ordering on the phone so we all waited over an hour and a half to eat & it was all just awful. Worst pizza I’ve ever had... it was freezing cold 5 minutes after picking up, I was at their location for pick up prior to when they told me to be and it was already done.. hm. They told me it was pulled 2 minutes before I arrived. I literally didn’t even open the pizza until I arrived at home not 5 minutes later. This pizza is completely falling apart and freezing cold. This was my first time coming here (because Pie Society was closed) and I couldn’t be anymore disappointed. I tried calling and speaking to someone and he told me he wasn’t sure what he could do about it, and that I could order and pay for another pizza. LOL! His excuse was that it’s cold outside... he would be correct if I would have walked home with the pizza, that’s the only way it would make sense to look like this. Super unfortunate! If they were willing to make it right I wouldn’t even be writing this review, everybody makes...

We have finally found our pizza place in Denver! We found it quite by accident, as our favorite place (which shall remain nameless) had website issues one Sunday evening and we couldn't order our usual. We searched for a new place, one that had GF pizza as well as the regular every-day pizza. We happened upon Basil Docs. We had a feeling that a pizza place that only does takeout, as opposed to a restaurant that makes pizza would be a better bet. We were right! Because pizza is their focus, they do it right! I'm a veggie pizza lover and it didn't disappoint. Large pieces of fresh veggies crammed onto a 10-inch GF polenta crust (well-done and crispy, as requested). Heaven! My husband's Supreme pizza was just as satisfying. We love having a go-to, a regular place that we can count on. Now if we could only find a good...
