We have been frequenting Billy's for years and decided it was the place to be for Mother's Day brunch. It all started with the reservation call my daughter made where she was met with a rude response. Upon arrival we were so excited for family dinner. It took 15 minutes to get drinks and finally we ordered food. The food was simply below par especially the kids meals which consisted of dried chicken and eight french fries. We had to flag down other servers twice just to get drink refills and chips. The service was not just sad but horrible as we were met with rude comments and condiments being tossed onto the table. I finally went in search of our missing server to just get togo boxes and the check. When she brought the check she explained that there was a 20% service fee already added to the ticket but feel free to add an additional tip. Honestly it was a double take for me after the service we just encountered and the fact that they didn't tell us in advance. My husband asked to speak to the manager about service while I took my younger kiddos to the car leaving my teenager with my husband. What happened next was not only strange but concerning. When my husband asked about taking off the automatic service fee, due to such horrible service, the manager said no problem. When my husband and daughter were leaving the manager and wait staff yelled at them saying " Good now we know your name" and " We hope you don't come back". Yelling this in front of all of the other customers. So strange but then I am in the car next to the patio with my other daughters and the manager and wait staff come to the patio window. That is when they proceeded to take pictures of our license plate and then they all flipped off my family. Please note that other small children were having lunch right next to this whole display in the patio area. The crazy thing is for the first time in my life I had to take footage of the situation to document such an extreme incident, especially with my own kids being exposed to such bad adult behavior. I don't think I have ever had an experience like this and hope that no one else ever...
Read moreTrying this place for my first time, I was pretty disappointed in the food unfortunately. My burger came out wrong and all of the food was seriously lacking flavor.
I ordered the bacon & cheese stuffed burger but unfortunately they gave me a regular burger, which I ended up eating. That was the first disappointment. The burger had one slice of cheese and 2 pieces of bacon that didn't have much of a flavor, the burger overall was seriously lacking flavor. One slice of cheese on a burger that thick is not enough. The burger wasn't seasoned, the whole thing was flavorless. On top of that the waitress did not correct the price when I told them of the discrepancy, nor did they ask to fix the incorrect food.
I was excited seeing shoestring fries, but unfortunately they were lacking as well. The fries weren't crispy and just room temp.
We also had the slow roasted pork torta, it was alright. The guacamole was good, the pork seemed to be lacking some flavor, as it took time to actually tatse it. The jus that came with it had a kick to it.
The tortilla chips are flour and have been salted. The salsa was average.
Service was seriously lacking, with just one person for wait staff. They never came around to ask about food or anything. We had to flag them down.
Beyond that the interior is nice and it seems like a nice little spot. I wish I had a...
Read moreGreat food, terrible service. My cousin had recommended Billy’s Inn as I had mentioned casual and kid friendly. Yes, you can have kids but the staff was not happy to accommodate. When we entered we were told to sit anywhere we’d like - a couple of times. With a total of 5 people, two being kids, we naturally went to the back and sat at the biggest table that would fit us in the patio area. Instead of being greeted, we were told by the waitress that the manager told us we had to move because the table was too big for us. And we would have to sit inside.
There was no seating for more than 4 people! So we squeezed in to a table of 4, asked for a high chair. My toddler hates high chairs but there was no other way to sit. We had several glares from staff and at one point a server, who wasn’t ours, rudely asked if we were using the high chair as he wanted it moved. Yes, it’s in the walkway because it was put there because our table did not accommodate the number of problem we had, and we very clearly had a toddler.
Again, food was good — service not great, and not super accommodating...
