Carnitas California — Restaurant in Denver

BEFORE MY PERSONAL REVIEW LET ME JUST SAY THIS: Why would you show up at a place of business 5 mins before they close? It's one thing if you're ALREADY there, but actually walking in to shop/order 5 mins before they close is just disrespectful. 5 mins isn't enough time and they will have to stay later to accommodate your inconsideration. The folks complaining are likely people who haven't worked a day of customer service in their lives, so they're just entitled jerks who are inconsiderate of other people. They'd be the first ones complaining as soon as they had to stay late at their job. NOW, ON TO MY REVIEW: The ladies here come across as a bit rude. They often leave you standing there waiting without so much as a greeting/acknowledgment, they aren't very assertive with their customers, and they frequently chat amongst themselves in the middle of your transaction. Their English isn't the best either. The food, on the other hand, is EXCELLENT! Couldn’t even believe they would make and sell a burrito this bad to us. They completely ripped us off.

I ordered a vegetarian burrito with nopal and asked to add egg. Mind you the vegetarian burrito is supposed to come with rice, beans, cheese, lettuce, pico, and guacamole. My burrito came with almost none of these.

What I received was a burrito filled with 50% hashbrown shreds with egg residue, rice, lettuce, and maybe a diced tomatoe.

I can’t even imagine someone would order this for themselves if it was mistaken for another order I feel like they just didn’t care.

The tortilla was also extremely greasy for a vegetarian with what tasted like meat fat which just shows how they have no regard for cross contamination.

My bf was also disappointed with the carnitas burrito because of how greasy and unfresh it was. Carnitas were dry and tasted old.

I hate wasting food but I was unable to eat my burrito because of how bad it was it was clearly just thrown together without care.

Pico De Gallo- California Burrito.

I’m giving this spot a 3 stars for the California burrito. Anyone can throw together a steak burrito with beans inside and cheese on top. I was enticed because of the pico de gallo that came on the inside of the burrito. But there was none, and the burrito just tasted like a 8 year old made a steak quesadilla with some cheese. The tortilla is too big for the amount of food you’re putting in the burrito. The whole burrito was just tortilla it was hard to cut with a fork. But I really wanted Pico De Gallo like it’s advertised. What I got was just tomatos. Pico De Gallo is a mix of cilantro, jalapeño, tomtatos, and spices. It’s easy to make and if you’re from California you know the Pico should be ready by the morning time for customers. Unfortunately I don’t think I will be back, I need to know I’m getting what I ordered.

This place is very clean! 5 stars! The bathrooms were tended to, the floors, counters everything was very clean in the kitchen too.
