I am updating a previous review of mine from 5 years ago since we visited again yesterday, Saturday!
We did not order any food, but they do have food here. They have expanded significantly since last we visited, which was awesome! Not they have the capacity to support large events, parties, groups, you name it! They have 5 sets of corn hole boards, so there are plenty of activities for everyone!
The prices for drinks and beer are hard to beat! $3 for a draft beer?! Unheard of, but they have it here! They also do pitchers of beer, I highly recommend the Dive Inn Lager! The coolest part? They have an actual boat inside that you can sit in as a table! Great for a bigger group of friends who want to be within talking distance of each other. They've updated the decor since last I was here, too, and the updates are awesome! There's still a water station near the restrooms, which is helpful for those who need it.
Plenty of seating! However, it can get a little hectic when ordering from the bar. They don't have servers, so everything needs to be ordered at the bar and it can get a little crowded since there is also bar seating, so you just need to find an open space to order. Due to this, service can be a bit slow, so just be patient.
I met one of the co-owners, and he was awesome! He was very accommodating, and he was able to get our corn hole bags for me, so I didn't have to wait in the large line at the bar (since I wasn't ordering drinks).
We love this place, and it's a great spot to come hang out and have some drinks, watch some sports, and play some games! I recommend coming here if you're looking to have some fun at a great...
Read moreI was with a friend on Friday evening and told her that I liked this bar when I had been there before for drinks and Mexican food.. I had a small dog on a leash and it was dinner time It was early evening before 7 pm. I happen to be a woman minority and was with my friend who was white with blond hair. The boucer, was a larger man immediately made sure I specifically felt uncomfortable. He was nice enough to my friend but immediately barked at me that the only area of the patio that allowed dogs was the area which was concrete paved and I said that was fine. This was even before he adked us for id’s. When I gave him an my driver’s license the bouncer very sarcastically pointed out that my license had expired two days before (without my realizing it). I did not insist on being let in, hell, I did not even ask to be let in but I was going to try to renew it online. You could tell the bouncer was hoping that I would not be able to. You could tell that he was racist and was a total douche . We left after I asked him if it would be okay to show him the proof that I renewed it with a receipt from the DMV and he just grunted. I went out on the sidewalk in front so we would not be in the way of other customers coming in. That guy hates his job and should be fired for being such a racist. Not one thing he said was in a pleasant tone to me but spoke mormally to my friend. It is sad because it was one of my favorite bars and I was always more than happy to abide by the rules. The other staff were always very nice to deal with including the...
Read moreSo me and my boyfriend were having a date night last night and we decided to walk around our new neighborhood and do some bar hoping to get familiar with restaurants and bars near our new home, we decided to walk into the Dive In Bar and we walked into the worst costumers service we ever Gotten before, the bar was half empty and the place looked pretty cool, no one ever greeted us and we waited a couple of minutes so then we decided to sit at the bar and wait for someone to help us, the lady who was serving tables (she had long gray hair) saw us and never came to us she never said hello and she passed next to us a couple of times and like I mention before the bar was not busy, we looked at the menu and still expected some kind of service but we were completely ignored and may be important to mention we were the only Hispanics at the bar, after almost 10 minutes there we decided to just walk out and we literally passed in front of the waitress made eye contact and not even at that point she cared to asked if we needed help so we never going in there again and we will make sure to spread the word because we felt discriminated. We can’t even say we got bad service because we didn’t get...
