When a restaurant in a very fast moving place like Denver is open year after year after year and the same people are behind the counter year after year after year, you know you're on to something good. I used to live right around the corner from China Dragon and now I drive half an hour each way to visit as do other folks who used to live in the area. Long standing and completely unassuming blue collar style Chinese joint with many, many good dishes. Great taste, large portions, and ready quickly. They specialize in delivery but the dining area is clean and presentable. Another user mentioned styrofoam containers.. I always thought it was because portion sizes are so big you'd need a suitcase for all those silly little quintessential take away containers. The help always remembers their regulars, even the ones they haven't seen in years.. That speaks volumes to me. Do not miss: orange beef and bbq pork fried rice (pictured).

I ordered the sesame chicken combo platter that comes with “fried rice,” a mini egg roll, and a cheese wonton. Decent portion size, but I’d gladly take quality over quantity. The sesame chicken was mostly pieces of breading/tempura and the sauce was very sweet. Also, I’m not sure why they’re calling it “fried rice” when it just looks, feels, and tastes like flavorless steamed brown rice with zero veg or aromatics. Either they’re not familiar with cooking fried rice in a wok or they just dont care. Lastly, asking for a fork and napkin with takeout seems like a bother. As someone who has eaten Chinese fusion in many states, and a handful of countries outside of the US, this is probably my least favorite spot that I’ve ever been to.

I had ordered the sesame chicken and this chicken I got was the worst chicken I have ever had it was so old and so hard that my teeth hurt from trying to eat it n my noodles were so plain it tasted like they just heated them up n just threw them on my plate no spices or anything n my wontons were even harder and older than my chicken my 1 egg roll was the only thing I could actually eat

RUDE. RUDE. RUDE!!! DO NOT COME HERE! After I ordered for my family, I POLITELY asked her what dishes I could order that didn't have MSG. (I did not tell her at the time, but I am allergic, my kidneys swell, etc.) Her face went tight & she sarcastically stated, "white rice." When she saw the shock on my face, she rudely added, "maybe fried rice." I'd ordered the Happy Family for my husband & asked if it had MSG (wei Jing), because we share our meals. She said, "yes." When I asked if my choice, sweet & sour pork, had MSG, she said, "yes." Which is why I asked her for an alternative. After sarcastically mocking me, she began yelling at me.

I worked for my uncle who owned 4 restaurants in Hawaii, and we NEVER treated a customer like that. If they had a special need or request, we would have asked one of our chefs, or my uncle or I would have cooked up their meal for them using their preferred items without MSG.

I asked to speak with the owner, manager, or assistant manager (I'd wanted to request a meal without MSG), and she said none was available. She began yelling at me & making mocked expressions for my shocked face from earlier as she admitted she was none of those titles and refused to help. When a gentleman from the kitchen came out as she was yelling st me, I tried to explain to him about a meal without MSG please, but she yelled over me repeating the mockery of my face & continued with her sarcasm. The man listened to her, shook his head & walked away.

No one should be spoken to sarcastically, be yelled at, nor be mocked for asking for a polite question. No one needs to waive around a medical report to get...

Sooooo disappointed!! Ive been eating here over 25yrs..the original owners and chef retired recently and was worried about eating here. but was reassured that the same family is running the place with the same recipes .but that was false!! I spend about 50$ everytime we would come get takeout..even moved 4x over the years and would drive across town to eat here ..but idk if i will anymore to the food being that different..even classics like sesame chicken that was way too sweet and pork lo mein noodles that were very thin n other veggies that were not in there before..lemon chicken sauce did not taste citrusy, just like sugar water..and sweet and sour chicken had veggies mixed in which gave it good aroma but made it soggy..even the best beef and broccoli they used to make changed. has some weird spice in it now..ugh. so disappointed but i guess times change.one plus though chicken...
