As a discerning diner with a particular palate for Chinese food, I've explored countless restaurants in Denver, but Pepper Asian Bistro II remains my unwavering favorite. Its chic atmosphere, coupled with its exceptional culinary offerings, creates an unforgettable dining experience.
Two dishes that consistently elevate my dining experience are the Walnut Shrimp and the Happy Family. The Walnut Shrimp is a masterpiece – tender shrimp, delicately coated in a sweet and savory sauce, adorned with crunchy walnuts. It's a symphony of flavors and textures that never fails to delight.
The Happy Family is a culinary favorite, featuring a harmonious blend of chicken, beef, shrimp, and scallops, stir-fried to perfection with vibrant vegetables. It's a feast for the senses, showcasing the restaurant's expertise in balancing flavors and creating visually stunning dishes.
Beyond the delectable food, Pepper Asian Bistro II offers a chic and inviting ambiance. The modern decor, soft lighting, and attentive service create a sophisticated atmosphere that complements the exquisite dining experience.
If you're seeking a truly memorable Chinese dining experience in Denver, Pepper Asian Bistro II is the ultimate destination. The shrimp fried rice is also a favorite served with large plump juicy shrimp. They also do delivery when you just don’t want to...
Read moreI’m just going to get right into this review because I’m extremely upset. One of my main reasons for the high level of disappointment is due to the amount of money wasted. Before placing my order I called ahead to make sure the specific item I wanted was available. I was told to include notes under the item when placing the order and it was no problem for them to accommodate that request.I specifically stated I did not want my fried rice made with butter (soaked through the box and ripped opened), which was completely ignored. I did 2 orders of steamed bok choy with garlic sauce which was also ignored. I ordered general tso chicken not spicy, instead they gave me orange chicken.I ordered a large wonton soup with extra wonton. Never happened. I added 2 orders of sticky wings (had only 2 pieces which was so so), 2 orders of shumai (the only thing that was decent) and a side of lo mein (overcooked and placed in a container that was melting from the heat). It’s annoying to see Uber not doing much about people losing money to restaurants who cannot follow directions. If I was not in a hurry I would have brought everything back so they could redo the order. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE OR UBER EATS AGAIN . They charge all these fees and you’re unable to complain back to back whenever you receive...
Read moreThis is our second time to visit Pepper and the reason for returning to any restaurant is because it's good. My first visit I ordered the Happy Family. This time I had the Sesame Shrimp. I hadn't tried their heat levels which are mild through Thai-hot so I thought I'd start with mild. The shrimp are large and the portions are generous. They have a choice of steamed, brown, or fried rice. I love the bed of fresh, steamed vegetables the shrimp are served on - broccoli, Bok Choy, carrots, and string beans. My wife had the Sesame Beef. Everything was delicious. Next time I'll try the next level of heat,
Update: returned this week with family and tried some other items - Kung pao chicken, chicken lo mein, and the Happy Family in addition to the Sesame chicken and sesame shrimp because they're soooo good. Had brown, fried, and sticky rices. I also tried the wonton soup. Our guests raved about the meal and all had good things to say. The beer was large (see pic), and the soup was not salty like most wonton soups but had a great beef flavor in addition to lots of wontons. It was generous for a cup. The meats are fresh, the rice well cooked and the staff is...
