Let's start with the good: The space is very cute and clean. The receptionist was very welcoming and got me situated right away. I arrived about 9 mins before my appointment so was checked in with 5 mins to spare before my appointment time. My āskin bossā greeted me about 2 mins past the start of my appointment time but took me back right away. She was very friendly & genuinely seemed interested in my skin concerns, what I was looking for, and what had brought me there that day. The facial itself was lovely with 2 kinds of cleansers and a face mask, then a toner, followed by a neck massage (a $20 add on I chose), and then a facial oil at the end. The entire experience - including the $20 massage add on - was less than the advertised 30 min facial. Consultation, facial, and neck massage add on - all UNDER 30 mins. And she did no extractions, nor did they appear to be offered. This was only my third facial ever so maybe I didnāt know exactly what to expect, but I can say that when an experience is advertised at 30 minutes and priced at $50, I expect the full 30 as I think any customer would. My skin boss was very friendly, and the facial itself was great and I left with my skin looking and feeling good so no complaints on the service as a whole but please either change your advertised time down to 25 minutes or advise the staff to complete their 30 minute allotments. I also think it would be kind to note in your add on materials that the add ons add no actual time to your session - I did not ask so that is on me but I did assume āadd onā would mean a little bit more time in the chair. Also - after adding on the $20 neck massage - the entire experience was $70 before tip. There are other salons in Denver that offer a 50 min facial that includes a massage, extractions, and more all for this price or just slightly more. This luxurious face cleanse just did not seem...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI want to start off by saying I loved the facials. The lady I saw was incredibly nice & she was always so good at her job. You could tell she really cared, which is why I couldnāt drop this review all the way to a 1 star. But as far as pricing goes for the business, they are deceitful. Theyāll lure you into the membership, and then be unclear about any add ons. They told me the facial was āan $85 bundleā so it made it sound like for $85, all of this stuff was included. But when I checked out, they hadnāt applied my membership credit to it, so I paid $55 for membership AND $85 for the rest. They never once said it was an add on or extra cost. I assumed you could apply your prepaid session from the membership ($55) and the difference would have been $35. But instead they charged me $140 for this session, which I did not find worthy of $140. I talked to someone who still never clarified and said I couldnāt get refunded, so I disputed it with my bank. Then the owner or manager (not sure which position she was) continued to harass me and blow up my phone for 2 months. I work in the massage business so I know how memberships and add ons to services work. Also, they knock up the pre set gratuity prices. For example, 15% and 20% are not what their iPad says. I did the math when I left because I felt like I had overpaid gratuity, and it was knocked up a few dollars. Itās not that the aesthetician didnāt deserve a few more dollars, but itās about being deceitful and dishonest by the business. Itās quite a shame because I genuinely enjoyed the facials and the lady I saw but I will not be back to this location. If youāre considering going, just make sure you double check prices on services/add ons AND calculate your own percentages on gratuity to avoid overpaying or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been getting facials for a few years and I've been wanting to visit Clean Your Dirty Face. I finally got a facial there last week, and I really enjoyed it!
The location is super convenient and I found a parking spot right out front. I was greeted by name and I filled out a form regarding information on my skin with spots to write down any concerns. I was taken to the back where I observed three separate stations each with reclining spa chairs for customers. Mallory gave me an overview of the service and started right away. At this point, I liked the efficiency. The facials are a thirty-minute experience, with an option to upgrade to an hour.
Mallory did an amazing job. She was really thorough and I especially loved the amount of pressure she uses during the massage portion. I learned that all of the products they use are their own, and you can buy any of them directly in their store. They all smell so good and felt great on my skin. I'm considering buying their SPF after wearing it post-facial! My skin felt and looked amazing afterwards, and when I checked out, I didn't feel pressured to buy anything during check out (nor during check-in with upgrades) - a welcome feeling.
I think it would be a really good option for people who haven't had facials before, as it's a low-pressure, short commitment in a welcoming space. If you're looking for something more relaxing, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it as you're sharing the space with potentially two other customers and technicians. This is totally okay, but everyone has their own preferences! All in all, I think this was a great experience and I'd definitely go back. I will likely add their facials into my regimen, alternating between CYDF and a more relaxing facial spa - they both have...
