Came for Saturday lunch. A bit quiet. There was 2 or 3 tables that filled. Probably they just opened recently and it's out of the way of the busy Vietnamese shopping center so not many knew about it yet. Bò né (bone marrow part is interesting, sauce was a bit oily) and bún chả Hà Nội are pretty good except the grilled pork belly (cut in butterfly shape) was a bit tough to chew. Flavor was great though, especially the fish sauce. Highly recommended. Cơm đặc biệt (combo rice) was pretty good. Mango honey milk tea came with a very cute and cool big ice cube shaped of an animal head (looking like the one that you see at an Asian dragon dance) and likely with mango flavor in there (?). Waiting staff never explained to us what it was or if it was for look only or for a purpose. Presentation wise, it's unique and cool. But flavor wise, it's a bit of a disappointment. All we could taste was milk and ice. At the end, they brought a very cool super tall glass filled with bubbles, overflowing out in an L shape... for us to.... wash hand. Likely has soap or some sort of chemical since it has a fragrance. Our skin is not senstive to anything so that was refreshing to try. What a unique experience. The picture taken here was caught a bit late when the whole thing almost stopped overflowing out at the brim. Like the decoration of all the Vietnamese lanterns in the ceiling. Before we left, another table was filled, replacing the one that just left. Also ordered kid size meatball pho and combo noodle (likely same as combo rice) but didn't try the flavor so can't comment here. Ordered for take out the stuffed chicken wings which had good flavors, lots of chopped lemongrass. Would come back again to try all their other cool / seafood / not-so-common-at-other-restaurants dishes. Come, support this new startup and family own restaurant. I'd cut them some slacks a bit since they haven't opened for too long. I'd suggest them to fix the spelling on their...
Read moreWe went on Friday during happy hour because we have a small child and we know she can get fussy. Started with mini spring rolls and pho tacos, they were both solid. The tacos fusion with brisket and comes with a broth and sauce, the rolls come with two sauces and some veggies and noodles. Main course I got the bone marrow and my spouse got seafood ramen. Came out fast, hot, and delicious. Nice sized portions and I would say overall solid prices for what you get. They have all kinds of Soju and drinks, and a few beers on tap and lots to choose from for fun and exciting beverages. There were about twenty things on the menu I was deciding on but I went with bone marrow, came with a half loaf of French bread, a Vietnamese meatball, and some steak chopped up with an egg in some wonderful sauce and a side of cucumber and tomato. It was cooked deliciously, the sauce was amazing, I could’ve had a couple more portions. Beer comes in a cold glass, soju comes out cold, they brought out water without asking. Seafood ramen came out steaming hot in a huge bowl and my spouse said it was delicious, you can choose heat level from 1-7 and she got a 4, which was like a closer to hot but still taste the food good. The server was attentive and the food came out faster than most places I’ve ever been. We will be coming back without a doubt. Give this place your business. I also asked what kind of things we should get, so the recommendations were solid. The place was clean and the music was just right and crisp volume wise. Decorations were on par and it felt like a friendly environment.
They did advertise for karaoke on Friday’s and Saturday’s and since we had our child we might have to get a...
Read moreSwung by during their soft opening this week. Owners are extremely nice, and it's refreshing to see a Vietnamese restaurant that doesn't just focus on pho here. Lots of street food, and items you wouldn't often see in a Colorado Viet spot.
One of most beautiful interiors for a Vietnamese restaurant, great for a date spot. They put a lot of love in the decor.
The short rib pho is great - a savory broth with tons of meat, and house made beef balls.
We also really enjoyed their banh cuon - although 3 sheets of rice paper feels a bit small for a meal, so something to think about if you order it.
They do seafood fantastically. Tasted fresh, and well seasoned. We enjoyed their ngheu hap/clam the most! A perfect scallion oil dressed over grilled clams. Their oc huong/salted egg yolk snail was also great and tasty.
Please be aware: their "bbq" page lists a photo of skewers but they're actually just noodle plates, similar to bun dac biet. Each plate only comes with two skewers & a huge porton of veggies/noodles. They aren't multiple bbq skewers. The pricepoint on these is a little rough for the portions - something to note when ordering. I would recommend just getting the banh cuon at $15 a plate + rice paper which felt like the best value. That aside, flavors were all good.
Overall a welcome addition to the area, and a fresh take on Viet classics. I think it's better to stick to the larger portion or shareplate items like seafood for...
