I go everywhere with my dog, and Em’s Ice Cream does not disappoint! Finding parking is a breeze at their flagship location, and they have a patio where my dog and I can enjoy their offerings. Not only is their ice cream made from scratch and certified organic, they usually have dog treats for your dog to enjoy! For humans, you have to try their Salted Caramel! If you’re not feeling the salty-sweet combo, they offer classic flavors such as vanilla, chocolate, and mint chocolate chip. For more adventurous palates, they have non-traditional flavors such as burnt brown sugar, black sesame, and honey lavender. Be prepared to sample flavors when you walk in, they have up to 16 flavors and cater to vegans as well (popsicles w/ fresh fruit and lemonade). Their menu doesn’t stop at ice cream by the scoop. They have rotating specials (an ice cream sandwich one day, or cake the next!), drinks, and milkshakes!
Lastly, while it is not the focal point of my visit, the service has always been friendly. I go here with my dog every...
Read moreJust another over priced foofy Denver ice cream shop, just like many others. Has flavors my kids dont like Chai and honey lavender. There's never any customers in here, im surprised its still in business. 100 degrees out at 6pm and its empty. Maybe its the overpriced, tiny portions of silly flavors? Stopped in yesterday and they were not open, because they didn't have staff!! Said they posted updates on social media. Pro tip: update your google hours, nobody checks social media for ice cream shop closures and updates. Luckily there's an amazing Ice cream store just down the road on Colfax. Theres also the palpable feeling of gentrification at this location. This was a lower income neighborhood before the other side of this street was developed and gentrified. Feels gross to pay a ton for a small ice cream then walk out and see the kids staring at you who cant afford this...

Woah! Is this too strong? Wait. No. I love it!
The two paired brilliantly, and the burnt brown sugar was strong and delicious. I’ve thought about it a significant amount of time since then (ask my wife, I’ve explained it multiple times and she was there with me). One might call it life changing.
Anyway, it’s delicious and you should support them. It might change...
