Worst experience at a bar I’ve ever had in my life. I walked in and, before even ordering anything, I asked if it was alright to change a tv (there were plenty) to the Cubs game. I sat down and ordered a stale beer at the bar and waited patiently for him to get the Cubs game on. He finally changed the one behind me to it, and I had to completely turn around to watch it. I noticed there was another side to the bar and asked if he could change one of those to the game, and, right then, he stops and looks to me like I’m some sort of demanding uptight brat that’s been nagging at him all night. Mind you, this all happened in a matter of five minutes, as I was not even halfway done with my beer. I get it, I’m sure he doesn’t like the typical boasting tourist, because they had their own little dive bar/ locals only attitude going on there, and I was the outsider, but I offered to buy a round for everyone if he changed the game to a tv that would allow me to watch it comfortably. He didn’t care for me and made it apparent so I got my card back from him, paid in cash, and left. On my way out he made some lame joke about catching the next flight back to Chicago that I’m sure went well on the last guy who was in this situation. I’m sure he’s a great guy if you’re a local, but this place lacks all decency and respect towards friendly outsiders. I would not even consider this an option unless...
Read moreI enjoy Stadium Inn (Stad) however I was witness to an extremely unprofessional interaction involving one of my friends. My friend got in a verbal altercation with a heavyset bartender with a beard and a nuggets hat. I am not writing this review based on the verbal altercation as I was not present, however I was disturbed by the fact that this bartender followed my friend to the outside of choice market and was trying to initiate a physical altercation. My friend had left the bar/altercation and gone to choice, yet when we left the market we were verbally abused by this bartender who had waited for us. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Aside from this experience stad has been a good,...
Read moreI am from the state of Florida where it is not required to get a horizontal ID until your ID expires. Personally mine will not expire until i am 27 years old. I offered to scan my ID, but was told there are no scanners ( which being from Miami is HORRIBLE practice) i offered to call non emergency police to scan my ID as i am 22 years old and was told that that would also not be sufficient. Per article IV section I, states are required to respect the laws of other states, not only is this bar breaking FEDERAL law, but they are also missing out on money and tips for their bartenders (particularly the lovely man in the bandana that turned me away) this is horrible...
