I love a good lunch special at an Asian restaurant! I was excited to give Tommy's a try. I ordered a salad to start and a curry for my entrée. I chose the wonton soup to go with because the lunch entrées come with a soup. The food gets a 3.5 stars. I asked for my check and was getting ready to pay... I noticed that they had charged me $4.50 for the soup and they accidentally charged me for the dinner portion of curry instead of the lunch....I received the lunch sized portion, not the dinner, so that's what I should've been charged for. I asked about the complementary soup and the person checking me out explained that the wonton soup does not count. I told him that my server did not tell me that...his response was that my server was new and still training. ??? And he proceeded to overcharge me $7. I thought about explaining that he should remedy his 'new' coworker's mistake, but I also did not want to make a fuss in front of the other customers. I will not...

I wish there was an option for 6 stars on this one! Tommy’s Thai is an absolute treasure! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and a lively atmosphere. Our server, Noy, made the experience truly unforgettable—she was not only incredibly attentive but also so much fun! Her energy and enthusiasm added an extra layer of joy to an already fantastic meal.

And the food? Absolutely divine! Every dish was bursting with authentic Thai flavors, perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. From the rich, creamy curries to out of this world Pad Thai! Each bite was a delight. The spice levels were spot on, and the portions were generous... leftovers the next day were even better... but we missed Noy! 🥰

We came in expecting a good meal, but Tommy’s Thai exceeded every expectation. Between the amazing service, the delicious food, and the welcoming ambiance, this place is an easy five stars. We can’t wait to come back!...

Tommy's Thai has been a staple in East Denver for years. They have made the interior nicer with a closed in entryway to prevent cold air getting into the main space.

The stuffed chicken wings are delicious. They are stuffed with shrimp, pork, bean thread and a few other things. They are fried and served with a tangy dipping sauce. Yum yum yum. Try with a little hot mustard.

The sweet and sour Thai is a dish I had not had before. It comes with steamed white rice (brown rice available for an extra charge). You choose your protein (I went with chicken) and the dish has pepper, onion, pineapple and carrot. The sauce was flavorful and just the right balance of sweet and sour. Not much heat which is fine with me as you can add Chile powder or sauce to kick it up.

Service was great and servers were attentive and made sure water was refilled.

Smaller parking lot adjacent to building with street parking on...

🍜 Tommy’s Thai: A Denver Gem for Authentic Thai Flavors! 🇹🇭 I stopped by Tommy’s Thai on Colfax Ave and tried their Pad Thai – let me tell you, it was an absolute flavor explosion! 🔥 The noodles were perfectly cooked, the balance of sweet and tangy was spot on, and the fresh peanuts added the perfect crunch. It’s no wonder this dish is a fan favorite – it’s easily some of the best Pad Thai I’ve had in Denver. The restaurant itself is cozy and welcoming, with a charming vibe that feels like stepping into a piece of Thailand. From their friendly service to their delicious menu, every detail shows their dedication to authentic Thai cuisine. 💬 If you’re in Denver and craving top-tier Thai food, make this your next stop. Trust me, the Pad Thai alone is worth the trip! 🙌 #TommysThai #DenverEats #PadThaiPerfection #AuthenticThai #FoodieAdventures #DenverFoodScene #ThaiCuisineLovers #NoodleHeaven #FoodiesOfInstagram

We got takeout on a Friday night shortly before close. I ordered 3 egg rolls for my gf and myself after reading online that they were phenomenal. They were. My gf thought they were bomb and they were definitely the Best egg rolls I’ve ever had - crispy, vinegary, sweet, fresh tasting, and came with a sweet light sauce that sealed the deal. Egg rolls: 10/10 Pad Thai (ordered “hot” despite contemplate Thai hot): not as many veggies as I saw in the photos online, but abundantly flavorful and crisp nonetheless. The chicken was tasty, too - not dry and a solid texture to complement the rest of the dish. I could have done Thai hot, but I am sure tomorrow I will be happy I didn’t. The hot was hot but not too hot. 9.2/10 Tofu Satay: my gf ordered. She said it was delicious but too sweet and probably wouldn’t ordered again when we go back. “7/10” Will likely be back again! Thanks Tommy Thai.

The food and service are both excellent here. There are a lot of good Thai places around, but this one has some unique aspects to it. Their eggrolls, for one, are very different from anything I've ever had. They're like a mix between the new york style Chinese eggroll and a spring roll, with a filling that screams fresh vegetables. They serve them with fish sauce and a spicy mustard that winks at the crossover. We ordered the panang curry, Thai hot, and pad Thai, mild. The panag curry was wondeful, with a great consistency and a peanut flavor that wasnt too sweet. The spicyness of the panag was there, but could have been even spicier. The pad Thai was some of the best in this region, with fresh vegetables and a good balance of flavors. Our server was very friendly, making sure we got everything we needed. We will be coming back to try the massman and pad see ewe, for sure.
