Alas Mickey I guess you think it’s over but it’s actually just beginning. It’s not my first review but this time I cannot say “ I recommend and will visit again” which is my favorite refrain to give a business. Last night it was the first time I used the Mickeys Pizza app called Slice, ordered my pizza, an appetizer for my area nurse husband, included a generous tip, and headed over to be on time to pick up my piping hot oven fresh order (see photos). Arriving precisely when the app said it’d be ready I happily strode to the register telling the fresh faced teenager my name sI observed another person placing hit from the fryer fries in a bag. Not a minute too soon in observed watching my fries tumble in and offering my name to the teens just asked question. She was was just pointing out that they were finishing it up when a woman in her late thirties intruded, infiltrating herself into the dialogue, and declaring that my order was not ready; Mickeys was “running late”, and my order needed “just a few more minutes”. I said no worries, though I was concerned by this sudden turn, chatted with the tween about her new” for the school year “ glasses, and observed as the five or so people behind the counter busied themselves with nothing much in particular, (there was no dinner rush and I was the only one in the restaurant waiting on an order). Finally, my pizza arrived, without, I thought, a hitch, . I left with the pie, drove off, grabbed a root beer from McDonald’s Donald’s and then opened to box ready to dig in to a yummy mickeys pizza. See the photo for what greeted my. I was beyond disappointed. The pure I had arrived on time for, but that was “delayed” was clearly burned. They left it in the oven a about five extra minutes and it burned during that “extra, needed time” It was also dried out, and tepid. The pie was cut at haphazard angles so as to form only an odd attempt at slices as of an attempt had been made only to offend. Everything with this pizza suggests intentional malice. …. We find the weird kind in kindergarten because it was at that age we learned how to treat others. Abandoning kindness later for whatever reason will never absolve one and mickeys will suffer ever after for their moral faux pas. And in the age of social media, surely an egregious mistake. Hopefully the petty teen will...
Read moreWent there for the first time and placed an order 6:30. Ordered a large pizza, a fry and onion ring. Walk out at 7:22.. couldn’t believe how long I waited there when it wasn’t even that busy and it was a large pizza..no apology or explanation for the long wait. fries and onion rings were sitting there in a bag within minutes so they got completely soggy.. my husband said the pizza was good but service is everything for us and wasn’t pleased with it here so won’t be returning.. Seemed like a pretty unorganized system they have going. .. to follow up on the response, a couple walked in 15 minutes after me and ordered a large pizza, side, and 2 glasses of wine. They paid, were served, and finished eating before I got my food. I was also told my order will be right up before it even was made or went into the oven. I understand the concept of first come first serve but if you have a waiting customer that long before an online order is even due, you need prioritize. This review was not to bash the company but to provide feedback to provide the opportunity to better improve for future customers. Coming from a management and operations background, the correct response would be to thank your paying customer for the feedback and you will look into what took place and hope to have another chance. This is the reason I...
Read moreI had been to this pizza place three times in the past. 2 times great service quality food. 3rd time not so much, the down hill slide had begun. 4th time, I pull in and see the sign is half lit up, a bad sign, line out the door, wait, wait, finally I am told the line is for customers picking up and there is always confusion, I make my way to the front of the disgruntled crowd. I ask what is good in the sub sandwich selection, the girl behind the counters has no idea, and after about 5 minutes I am told there is no subs, all pizza, Man beside me states, it will be three days for this place to make a pizza, the guy making pizzas has no gloves, looks unbathed, dirty hands, no gloves, other people in the kitchen have gloves on making food. dirty place, could use a little cleaning. Signs are broken, dirty hands, rude woman apparently side piece to owner. Tony Bad ratings here, bad ratings at sister company Hudson House of pizza, cranky owner in the reply's, I knew then what had to happen. Sal's pizza 2 doors to the north, good pizza, no confusion, signs work, people all wearing gloves. Never be back to Mickeys or or sister spot in Hudson. Now cranky owner...
