I recently visited Cinnaholic in the East Village and was blown away. This place puts the gourmet in cinnamon rolls, every roll is handcrafted and completely vegan, yet tastes indulgent and fresh.
What really sets this spot apart is the build-your-own concept. With over 40 frostings and toppings, from classic cream cheese to cake batter and peanut butter cups, it’s a dessert-lover’s dream. I chose a specialty cinnamon roll and couldn’t resist adding extra frosting, each bite was soft, warm, and packed with flavor, yet beautifully balanced.
The staff were friendly and helpful, guiding me through their imaginative menu. Service was fast, and the atmosphere is inviting, perfect for a cozy treat or a sweet meetup with friends.
It’s a bit pricier than your average bakery, but it’s worth every penny. A premium experience, perfect for anyone (vegan or not) who loves comfort desserts. I’m already planning my next visit to try one of their seasonal rolls and their oat milk soft-serve.
Highly recommend, whether you’re vegan or just looking for an amazing dessert spot...
Read moreWent in shortly after they opened with my 2 year old while my wife was at the book store next door. There was 2 groups before me that ordered and I ordered a regular cinnamon roll. Fast forward 30 minutes and people that ordered after me orders were being called my toddler was starting to lose patience so after the third order placed after me was called I went up to cancel the order and low and behold the order was done and boxed and just sitting there, not where the pick up orders were being set but on the line where the food was being prepared. The cinnamon roll itself was okay, it was better than the tubes from the store but not by a lot. 30 minutes for 1 plain cinnamon roll at a store the specializes in cinnamon rolls seems a little crazy to me. My advice would be if you want to try it out don’t go with a small child and plan on a wait. If it was this slow with a few orders I can’t fathom what the wait would be during a busy time. I gave it 2 stars not one as like I said the roll was edible. Will...
Read moreThey’ve got to figure out a way to make their service as mind-blowing as their cinnamon rolls. Rolls: 5 stars. Service: 2 stars, at best. The staff is very nice, of course, just excruciatingly inefficient. We came in well after opening day, on Monday 4/11 and Tuesday 4/12. There was only one person ahead of us Monday and two people Tuesday. Monday we waited 18 minutes; Tuesday, 20 minutes. For two rolls and one roll, respectively. They’ve got one person decorating/frosting, which seems to be the most time-consuming part of the process. Put more people there if that’s the bottleneck! As far as taste goes, you would never know these rolls are vegan. It’s so nice as a long-time vegan to walk in and know you can order literally anything on the menu and it’s vegan-friendly. Also appreciated the gender-neutral bathroom sign! I would highly recommend the Cookie Monster…but unless you’re OK waiting a half hour for one not-large, very pricey cinnamon roll, maybe give them some time to work out the...
