Recently, I visited Vibrant Coffee located in East Village next to Olympic Fame. This new place definitely grabs attention with its inviting atmosphere. As I walked in, I noticed how well-organized it was, with products and merchandise neatly displayed. Since it was a hot day, I decided to skip the coffee and instead ordered a half turkey sandwich on a croissant, a chicken pot pie, and an iced tea.
The counter lady was friendly, and I found a seat to enjoy my meal. The presentation of the food was nice, with attention given to the serving vessel. However, I was disappointed by the lack of flavor in the sandwich. It tasted quite bland, almost like an Oscar Mayer deli turkey on a frozen croissant that lacked crispiness.    Read moreNew coffee shop still figuring out their kitchen but over a good experience and we will be back. Very cute decor, nice tables, even their simple chair were cute, no boring standard dining plastic chairs here! I cannot stress enough how amazing their tiramisu was, HUGE as well ($7 or so, so solid). I also got a breakfast sandwich that was just so so, standard sausage, egg (didnât seem fresh, maybe a frozen patty which doesnât bother me much but I like the option for a runny yolk etc) english muffin, probably wouldnât get it again. Partner got a bagel and cream cheese, they only have plain bagels (odd) and the cream cheese was just two small things of Philadelphia cream cheese. If it were just a coffee shop Iâd not think much of it but for name also being âkitchenâ there was room for improvement. The fruit as a side was strawberries and grapes so that was great with me too! The Americano and basic drip coffee were good,...

The space and atmosphere is among the best of all coffee shops I have experienced in the Des Moines area.
Seating: Comfortable booth seating Large tables for groups Bar style seating for individuals A cozy space with couch and chairs Outdoor seating
Excellent menu with a wide variety of items. Above and beyond customer service. Looks like room for 50+ people indoor/outdoor, and a downstairs area yet to be revealed.
The lighting is perfect: some dim/moody areas as well as some vibrant lit areas.
This will be my go-to coffee shop...
