La Mie Elevate — Restaurant in Des Moines

been going here since they opened. I love their Turkey club. Then last week go in for one and was told that all they had left was what was on top of the coolers for sandwiches. Mind you the sandwiches are just on metal platter ON TOP of the coolers. My daughter has went by at 8 AM and they are out there. So I want a fresh one. She wouldn't make one. After a few weeks ago when my supervisor had a sandwich with a bite out of it and had to go back and tell them about it... don't think they should be turning away business. I won't be back. too many places downtown to go to eat that will make fresh items from their menu. Maybe they should say we won't fix things fresh off the menu any longer???! just serve the warm sandwiches on the...

Very cute place with super yummy ham and swiss croissants but super hard to find if you're like me and just visiting. I'm from out of town and am staying at the Des Moines Downtown Marriott so I followed Google and walked here but know it's NOT ON GROUND LEVEL. Google takes you to the front door of an office building with a person sitting at the front desk, she was nice enough to direct me to the elevator to the Skywalk level and go in the double black doors the back way. Keep walking around to the front where the pastry case is and order there. I think I'll try just walking over from the Skywalk next time,...

Unfortunately, this place was quite underwhelming. The food tasted fine, I ordered the smoked salmon omelette - which is only egg whites with smoked salmon slices laid on top. There were no pastries available when I arrived, as well. It’s labeled as a French bakery and I was hoping to get baked goods. The latte I ordered was great temperature, not too hot or cold, but was off in taste. The espresso was drowned in the milk and flavor was lost versus being a balanced drink. More so a bummer than...
