I had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience at this location. I arrived well before dark and placed an order for two meals. After more than 40 minutes of waiting — with no updates and no apologetic communication — I still had not received my food. It was getting dark and I had to leave the premises to bring my geese and chickens inside; when I left my order was still not ready.
When the order finally arrived it was cold, and the coffee I paid for was missing (staff initially tried to claim that was “all of it” and did not provide the coffee). The remainder of the order was delivered cold, and the advertised “large fries” were nearly empty. The food was never remade.
During my wait I observed multiple serious issues that directly affect food safety and customer welfare: • Staff AND A MANAGER handling food after smoking without washing their hands. • A visible leak inside the store, near customer and food-prep areas. • Filth, clutter, and overall poor cleanliness throughout the premises. • Actual bugs on the premises (I personally saw insects in the dining/prep area). • Inconsistent and dismissive customer service; staff were unprofessional when complaints were raised.
These are not minor complaints — they are significant sanitation and health-code concerns. Waiting over forty minutes for two simple meals only to receive cold, incomplete food that may have been handled under unsanitary conditions is unacceptable.
Requested actions and expectations:
I expect a full refund immediately (the food was never remade and I did not receive the coffee I paid extra for and only GOT AFTER COMING IN AND ASKING FOR IT WHEN SHE SAID HERE IS YOUR ORDER, she lied).
I request that management investigate this incident and retrain employees on hygiene protocols (including handwashing after smoking).
Immediate professional pest control treatment and a thorough professional cleaning of the facility.
Repairs to fix the leak and any other maintenance issues that impact sanitary conditions.
Improvement of customer service protocols so complaints are handled professionally and fairly.
A direct, written response from management explaining the corrective actions taken and what will be done to prevent recurrence.
If I do not receive a satisfactory response and refund, I will report these health and safety concerns — including the smoking and handling of food without handwashing — to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Iowa Department of Public Health, and my local health department.

Read moreI’m not really trying to be a “Karen” or anything. Mistakes happen, I definitely understand working a fast food type of place myself. But when I work I always try to be as nice as I can. Me & my boyfriend went here a few days ago, but we had called before hand to make sure they were open (some things on websites say they’re open until a certain time when they were not, just wanted to clarify.)
& the lady who answered was yelling into the phone, I was just like whatever you know, maybe it’s just loud, when I got there, a different girl in the drive thru was extremely rude. We had two separate orders, we said that before hand, she cut us off while talking to say she won’t accept two different orders & that we either had to do one, or drive back around.
I’m like there’s literally no point in going back around, so we ended up having to pay cash & card, we had enough money, but the issue was I was getting food for my mom as well. Then when we were talking, telling her what we wanted she rudely cut us off again to tell us they didn’t have the thing we asked for, we weren’t talking super fast, so she easily (and politely) could’ve said they couldn’t sell that item after midnight, when we were done speaking.
When we got to the window she was just kind of snobby and rude. My mom wasn’t happy either because she HATES when her meat is pink, for me, I think it’s fine but she doesn’t like it, just her preference, and all of our sandwiches were super pink, like not even a little, they kind of were just lazy about it & you could tell they put no effort in making the sandwich, other than all of that, this place isn’t completely bad. Read moreI have been to many many eating establishments in my life and I have never seen one like this. The lady at the register was more Interested in her manicure then taking my order. Alarm when I received my food I specifically said no cheese on my burger and when I sat down to eat my burger there was cheese on both. Being allergic To dairy this could have killed me. When I returned to the counter with the burgers to get them made again one of the employees on the assembly line smirked “why can’t she just eat it?” As I stood there waiting for the burgers to be remade the lady at the register who I dealt with decided to take an an interesting position there were a lot of customers and she was more interested in her coworkers talking then helping them. When a customer came up to her and asked her if she could make the second ice cream blizzard drink, the cashier proceeded to throw her out and try to get the manager as fast as she could so the manager could throw her out. it took a total of 10 minutes to get to simple hamburgers made and I had to tell four people why I was there.
This location needs to be visited by the corporate office and every employee needs to be raked over the coals and re-taught how to do their job from manager to cashier.
I have worked in customer service for the better part of 16 years and I have never seen nor been a part of a situation as bad as this place.
